Peter watched anxiously as Aunt May was on the phone with Mrs Anthony. He tried his best to eavesdrop on the conversation but he could only hear his own heartbeat racing.
He had already heard Aunt May say 'No' three times in the conversation and four 'Maybes'. Peter was praying hard May won't forbid him from keeping contact with Mr and Mrs Anthony.
Aunt May, "Yes. That's alright. Sure no problem. Yes of course tomorrow's just fine. Sure. Prefect."
Aunt May gave Peter a nervous smile.
Aunt May, "Sure. I'll just get him to drop the message. Alright. Thank you so much. Bye."
Peter watched as Aunt May dropped on the sofa letting out a loud defeated sigh.
Peter was quick to kneel beside her, "Well? So what? What happened? What'd they say?"
Aunt May smiled, "Well they're coming over for lunch tomorrow."
Peter stared at her in disbelief.
Peter, "Our house?"
Aunt May, "Mm Hmm."
Peter, "You're going to continue let me be friends with them?"
Aunt May, "I haven't decided that yet Peter. We'll see tomorrow. If they're creeps I'm calling the cops on them."
Peter rolled his eyes, "They're not creeps!"
Aunt May smiled, "Let me be the judge tomorrow."
Peter pouted, "Well you're going to be wrong. They're nice. And you're going to like them."
Aunt May smiled, "Yikes sweetie. It's like you're preparing me to meet your future in laws. Do they have a kid your age? Is that why you're this interested?"
Peter rolled his eyes, "Ha-ha. You're so funny. Give me my phone."
Aunt May smirked, "Why so you can change back your wallpaper back to your crush?"
Peter blushed, "I don't have a crush!"
Aunt May tossed his phone at him, "You don't have to be shy Peter. You know we're going to have to talk about-!"
Peter, "I don't have a crush!" He yelped out running into his room.
Aunt May, "Whatever you say lover boy. Don't forget to text our address."
Peter yells from his room, "I'm not a lover! I'm a fighter!"
Aunt May yells back, "Oh puh-lease! You'd loose to a caterpillar punch!"
