Death of a Bachelor by Panic At The Disco

The next day was a Saturday. Shannon and the rest of Gryffindor house decided to have a lie in. Most students woke up around 10am, some woke up so late just because they were tiered, but others were clearly up all night partying with the Slytherins  in their common room. Because it was the weekend everyone was allowed to wear normal clothes because no lessons were taking place. Shannon put on some pink shorts and a white t-shirt which had a dog on it. She washed her hair then read a couple more chapters on the book she read the evening before. It took a couple hours for her to remember what happened last night and once she remembered dred rushed through her whole body. She felt ok about having a detention today with Professor Grindelwald, but she was worried about her parents finding out. She ignored her feelings and kept reading her book. once she heard other students getting up and going down to the common room she put her book away and made her way to the Great Hall for a late breakfast.

About half the school was already down there at this time. Steven and John were nowhere to be seen though. She took a seat at the Gryffindor table and had a couple hashbrowns, bacon and toast. She washed it all down with some milk. After breakfast she went for a walk around the outside of school. She visited Hagrid's hut and pumpkin patch, and the Whomping Willow.

Hagrid was outside digging up some weeds that had grown around his pumpkin patch, Shannon offered to help him, but he assured her that he was fine doing it by himself. She then bid farewell and walked towards the Whomping Willow which was around the other side of school. It took Shannon about 15 minutes to reach the Whomping Willow tree. The tree was very large and it's branches spread meters upon meters across. Luckily none of the branches were moving or else they'd have knocked Shannon to the ground instantly.

After she had explored the outsides of the grounds she walked back into the castle to check the time, it was only 11:15am. Not much time had passed since she had breakfast. She checked the Great Hall and finally found that Steven and John had woken up. She walked to the Great Hall and told them about her detention.

"We did wait for you, honest." Steven told her. "I guess we got carried away when we were dodging getting caught. If we knew we'd have came back." 

Shannon wasn't sure if she believed him or not.

"Anyway, I got caught and now I have a detention during lunch time."

"Damn, for how long?" Johnny asked. He was eating a sausage sandwich like Shannon ate yesterday.

"Maybe an hour? I'll ask when I get there-"

"Who is the detention with?"

"Professor Grindelwald." Shannon thought that as she was going to miss lunch she'd have an early lunch to make up for it. She got a plate and ate some chicken and  waffles.

"He seemed to like you in DADA's yesterday, so he might be kind towards you. Did you tell him why you were out after curfew?"

"I lied and said I was on my way to the library."

"Good. If he or any other teacher finds out about he party we'll all get detentions."

40 Minutes passed and she had only 5 minutes to get from the Great Hall to her DADA's classroom. She took two apples with her, one for herself and one for her teacher in case he was hungry. She then left and went to the classroom.

The corridors were empty as no lessons were on today, it was a nice change. Shannon actually felt like she could explore the school as she walked around it now it was practically empty. Once she made it to Grindelwald's classroom she knocked on the door and waited for him to open up.
