The Beginning

I woke up. Where was I? I thought to myself. All I could remember was running full speed in the parking lot. I shuddered thinking of the moment. I surveyed the room and by the scenery I was in a hospital. I sat up in the bed, and I saw Harry. He was sleeping in a chair next to me. But by the looks of it, it seems like he has been here for awhile now. I look at myself and I see my hand was wrapped, I could see some blood. I lean a little closer to Harry and whisper his name. But he didn’t wake up.

“Harry!” I whispered a little louder. He jumps up. He turns and faces me, sympathetically. His beautiful eyes focused on mine. It looked as if he’d been crying earlier.

“You’re okay!” he yelled with excitement once he saw me.

“Yeah, I guess. But what happened after, you know, me jumping?” I say making hand gestures.

Harry starts explaining how the police came just in time and how he drove me to the hospital, and everything else that happened. “Luckily, the police caught the guy. And, I called your mom and told her you’re okay. She said to tell you she was going to be out of town for the week for a business trip.” He says finishing. I nod. Then there was a long pause. Then Harry turns to me.

“Why’d you do it?” he asked while a tear escapes from his eyes.

“Why wouldn’t I? You’d do the same for a directioner, right?” I explained.

“Yeah, but what does that have to do with anything?” he asked, confused.

“I’m a directioner. I figured if you’d take a bullet for me, why not do the same for you?”

“You’re a directioner? You’re joking, right? You hate me. On the first day, you threw your milk on me!” he said, getting a little louder.

“No, you got it all wrong. I tripped, it was an accident... but sorry though.” I say the last part sheepishly. We continue our conversation on me being a directioner. He was pretty interesting to talk too. Then after a while, a nurse walked in. “Is she good to go home?”  Harry asked her.

“Uh, yeah. She seems to be fine but here,” she says handing the meds to Harry, “She needs to take this medicine. If you have any problems, come back and tell us.” She said.

“Are there any side affects?” I wander off after asking the question.

“Well, you could be drowsy. So you don’t want to take this before school. And, someone needs to be there with you to watch you and make sure nothing happens. Also don’t put any weight on that arm.”

We nod and Harry walks me out to his car. Harry starts the engine and eventually starts driving. As Harry’s driving I check my phone and notice a text message from my best friend Kaitlyn. She was just asking if I was okay… which was weird because I didn’t really tell her what happened. But all I knew was if she knew, everybody at school must know. I text her back and put my phone away.

“Uh, Harry? Don’t I have to tell you where I live first before you start driving?” I say. Harry laughs a little.

“Well we’re not going to your house. You'll see.” He said with his beautiful accent. For some reason, it gave me butterflies in my stomach. But I was anxious to see where we were going.
