Aaliyah ran across the skating rink almost knocking over a couple and hugged her brother.

Aaliyah. You made it!

Lamar. Yeah you know I wouldn't miss your birthday
He said hugging her back.

His eyes met Diamond's and Diamond quickly looked away from him. She sat down and took her skates off then she ran to the bathroom in a stall and she locked the door before the tears fell from her cheek.

Why was she still feeling this way? Better yet why would he bring her there...? He had to know that Diamond was going to be there, she practically took care of his family while he was busy playing house with this bitch!

Her eyes burned from all the tears and she just couldn't pull it together. 30 minutes had gone by and she was ready to come out of the stall. She took a look in the mirror and began doing her make up again to fix it. Then the restroom door opened and closed behind her.

Charity. Hi, you're Diamond right?

Diamond looked at her in the reflection in the mirror and she ignored her.

Charity. Well listen we need to talk

Some fucking nerve Diamond thought and shook her head.

Charity. Okay well I'll talk, I feel really bad about this whole thing, I never meant to get pregnant...

Diamond. No? You didn't mean to get pregnant you just meant to fuck someone elses man right?
She said as she kept applying her lipstick.

Charity. I know how much of a big part you play in the girls lives and even in Lamar's I only want us to get along, what's done is done we have to accept it now you know

She finally turned around to face the girl it was hard to look at her in the eyes she just kept looking at the baby bump.

You got what you wanted, the man, now you have a baby, I have nothing to do with that we don't need to get along, nobody came and blew up your whole life you did that to us! These poor girls and Lamar ! He doesn't want a baby right now and if you think trapping him is going to work You are sadly mistaken

Charity. I wasn't trying to trap him but like I said what's done is done, now I'm just trying to do what's best for me and this baby and believe it or not for Lamar now too...

Diamond. If you really thought that you would get an abortion having a baby by a man when you know he doesn't want one right now he's told me that! So how are you doing what's best for him? That's bullshit
She said slapping her lipstick down on the counter.

Charity. He didn't express that to me he was hesitant at first I'll admit but he's been coming with me to doctors appointments and ultrasounds and he seems genuinely invested in this baby I haven't heard him say not once that he doesn't want it
She crossed her arms.

She shrugged and put her hand on her stomach.

She said with an attitude.

Tears started to form at the back of Diamonds eyes again. It was right in her face seeing the baby bump and now hearing about his first time experiencing ultrasounds and doctors appointments with anyone else but her hurt her more than anything in the world. It felt like her world was going dark. She would never have the spot of being his first, the one who gave him his first child...

Diamond. Excuse me
She said and pushed past Charity and ran out of the bathroom, she continued to run across the skating rink and out of the building.
