In the early morning. Diamond got off the floor her shoulders and arms now bloody from laying in the glass all night. She didn't grab anything. She went outside and started for her destination. Charity said nothing to her. She just called Lamar from the other room when he came to the door he looked at Diamond and joined her outside, closing the door behind him. She looked up at him and threw her fists into his chest and she screamed.

Lamar. Stop, Diamond, stop
She continued to throw her hands at him and yelled at him. He finally was able to grab her arms and stop her from swinging then he hugged her.

He didnt say anything to her he just let her cry on his shoulder.

An hour later she was sitting on the porch with Lamar smoking with him.

Lamar. What happened Diamond ?

Diamond. Casey shot up my house after I got out of the hospital
She said taking a hit.

Lamar. What ? Is everyone okay?

Diamond. My mom and my dad and my baby sister were at the house Lamar... my mom..
She paused to inhale more smoke.

Diamond. My moms dead

Lamar. Got damn... I'm so sorry D, I really... I am...

Diamond. It was too dangerous for my sister to stay so my dad left... I'm not looking for help I know you don't care about me anymore I just wanted to warn you that you and the girls should get out of town for a while...

Diamond. My mom she said no one came to see me in the hospital even though she told everyone

Diamond looked down at the ground trying to hold back more tears. She was so tired of crying.

Lamar. I wanted to stay... I really wanted to stay... but your mom she found out about Charity being pregnant and she blamed me for everything and you know she's was probably right to do so... who could blame her...

Diamond. It was my fault... I should have listened to you about Casey... he is dangerous, I was trying so hard to get back at you I shouldn't have stayed...

Lamar. I don't blame you D, not for any of it, You should also know I looked for you after you told me to leave...
