As you were walking away from the parlour you felt butterflies soar in your stomach, as you replayed his words about asking you to meet again tomorrow. Was it a date, or was it just a friendly gesture?

Well, it was best not to get too ahead of yourself, so you kept your head high, and continued walking down the way to your shared apartment, with your best friend. You kept walking on, sweat collecting on your brow from the new sun that beat down on you.

Eventually you came to a block of flats, and walked inside, as the doors were open to let some form of air in. You looked around the lobby and turned in the direction of the lifts.

You started walking up to the lifts until you heard the woman behind the lobby call out, which made you stop in your tracks.

"Oh, the lifts are currently out of use right now. Both malfunctioned after something had happened. Probably from the emergency button but i'm not fully sure." She said, as you turned to acknowledge her, but at the same time to punch yourself in the gut.

"Oh, um okay. Thanks for letting me know. I'll just take the stairs." You say, as she just nodded.

You turned your body away from the lifts, and headed to the stairs, preparing for the pain you'd go through, but still somewhat excited for what you could tell your friend.

So you started going up the flights, and after five minutes of constant trudging up stairs, you found yourself on the floor of your flat.

You walked down the quiet halls, that seemed chilling to any other walking down those halls, but to you, it was just a regular day.

Once you'd located the flat what you and your friend lived, you knocked on the door. You stood back and waited for your friend to open the door, and when she did, you tried to cover up what you actually did, since she wasn't informed.

"Hey y/n. You look like you've had a good time out." She says, as you chuckle embarrassingly at her comment.

"Uh yeah I did actually. James is a pretty good guy you know. Said he wants to see me tomorrow so I accepted." You say, as you feel your stomach heat up from what you'd said about his offer.

"Ooh, seems like he might like you. I mean it's kinda obvious from that gesture." She teased, as you stepped forward into your flat at this point.

"Shut up, he's probably just being nice you know. Ever since he's moved from Switzerland, he's actually been a great guy to be around." You admit, as your friend rolls her eyes jokingly.

"You definitely have something for him. I can see it written on your face. Let's get you in here." Your friend said, ushering you inside before closing the door.

You invited yourself on the sofa, and sat down as your friend went into the kitchen, probably to put shopping away or to grab a drink.

"Y/n! Do you want a drink or anything?" She called out, as you leaned back on the sofa and cocked your head upright.

"I'll take a water please, thanks mate." You say, as you usually referred to her as mate. Probably the Londoner in you showing.

"Sure thing." You heard her reply, as you just slid your head back down from the sofa and watched the TV, that you just realised was on.

Shortly after, your friend emerged from the kitchen, holding two bottles in her hands. One was a juice for her, the other was your water.

"Here you go." She said, tossing the bottled water over to you, as you just smiled at her and looked up.

"Thanks, as you nearly kill me by throwing it at me." You laugh, as you see her position herself next to you on the sofa also.

"Shut up it barely skimmed you." She laughed, as you felt a laugh in your stomach freshly rise.

You opened the bottle cap, and clasped it it your free hand as you held the bottle in the other, as you raised it to your chapped lips, and drank the cold water freely as your friend mirrored your action and did the same.

After you'd both quenched your thirsts, you removed the bottle off your mouth and closed it back up again. You placed the bottle by your side, and saw the day bleed away into dusk.

"Oh Jesus I didn't know it was that late. We'll better get to sleep y/n." Your friend warns, as you turn to
her, as she places her bottle down simultaneously.

"Yeah sure, I'm getting tired anyway. That sunshine really did wear me down. And I have to meet James tomorrow so I need this rest." You spoke, as you stretched out both arms and raised them upward to signal you were tired.

"Alright, that's settled. Come on then y/n." She said, reminding you of your mother, as you and her both got up in sync, and walked out of the lounge.

You went up the staircase, and heard your friend's footsteps creeping up behind you as you made it up the stairs, with your friend showing later than you.

You went to your separate ways, and both changed into your nightwear, as you zoned out slightly in that process, before your friend came up to you from her bedroom briefly.

"Night, have a good rest y/n." She told you, with you acknowledging that and nodding back.

"Same to you." You replied, not trying to seem blunt, but she picked that up immediately and she chuckled.

She nodded, before you went back to your bedroom, and she went back to hers, as you closed the door gently, before looking at your neatly made bed, before stepping towards it and walking around the edge.

You pulled the covers back, and slid into your soft bed, and pulling the cover over your body, warming you in an almost instant, as it incased your body.

You shifted around with the blanket over you, getting into a comfortable position, before finally drifting off, your eyes completely shutting out the atmosphere and surroundings of your room, as nothing but sweet thoughts consumed your brain.

You definitely couldn't wait to see James again, he was the reason why you'd grin ear to ear, he was the blush that would coat your face like makeup.

As soon as those thoughts controlled your brain, your body would soften and you would feel as if James was beside you, hugging you softly in his grip which made you even more comfortable to be in your bedroom.

You sighed to yourself, as you peacefully slept, no bad thoughts consuming your mind or anything which made you really relieved.

Needless to say, you had the best sleep you had in a long time, and it was all from James's charm. All him. Just him.
