A few hours had passed since you'd fell asleep with the sweet thoughts of seeing James again, with your body warm to the touch. You found yourself waking  up, your eyes slowly opening to reveal the daylight that flooded into your small room.

A yawn passed your mouth, as you stretched your arms to prevent them cramping up, as you looked over at your clock.

"Hm, 10:45. Not too bad, not too bad. I was out for a while last night to be fair." You spoke to yourself, looking at the clock face simultaneously.

"Crap, I forgot! I gotta go see James today. That's why I needed the time."  You said, snapping out of your trance, and bolting out of your bed, almost in a daze.

You didn't bother making your bed, as all you wanted was to have enough time to get yourself all dressed up for your outing, so you rushed around like a headless chicken trying to get your stuff in order, including yourself.

You scrambled to the landing, your feet padding the floor as you got in the bathroom and locked it without noticing. You went to the mirror, and saw your reflection. Your bed hair all messed up, the loose ends sticking out, and your face with darkened patches underneath.

You ripped your eyes off the mirror and fiddled around with your toiletries, and picked your toothbrush up, put a spot of toothpaste on, and brushed your teeth.

After a minute or two, you turned your electric toothbrush off, and washed it under the cold flow before replacing it on the sink side, and using the water to clean your face.

Once you'd done that you switched the water off, and grabbed a towel and dried off, before quickly jogging to the door almost, struggling to unlock it until you realised you locked it.

"Damn it, I shouldn't of locked it. Ugh." You spoke, pulling the doorknob until the door swung open, and you trudged out in your short lived annoyance, before going down the stairwell.

You altered your pace to be a little quicker as you finally got downstairs and saw your friend's warm smile as you saw her sitting at the table with some toast.

"Good morning y/n. Looks like you rushed around, I heard you from down here." She chuckled, as you just smiled at her.

"Well I have to get ready for James don't I? I couldn't go like that so I had to." You spoke honestly, which she nodded to.

"All you talk about is him, it's so cute y/n. Come on and have some breakfast." She spoke softly, as you walked over to the table and sat, as you rolled your eyes.

You and your friend began eating your breakfast, and after around 10 minutes, you finished your plate and stood up from the table.

When you were standing, your friend snickered as you turned to her in confusion as to why she was laughing.

"Why are you laughing at me? What's so funny?" You asked, as you squinted your eyes in a puzzled way.

"Y/n you're still in your pyjamas. You did your makeup but not your lower half. I noticed it when you came over to me but I didn't want to say anything in case you got panicked." She spoke, still keeping that chirpy laugh.

You looked down, and saw you were definitely in your nightwear, and you facepalmed as you deeply sighed before laughing slightly.

"God I must be tired, I completely forgot. Let me just go get changed, for real this time."

"Okay, you go do that. Keep your eye on the clock though."

"I will, I definitely will this time." You say laughing, as you found yourself going back round to the upstairs to get changed for real this time.

You padded the stairs like it was a goose chase, only to find yourself at the top, yet again out of breath.

You caught your breath and then rushed to your room, straight to your wardrobe and opening it to reveal the many clothing items it concealed, including some dresses and heels, and then more casual wear like jeans and trainers.

You decided to go the casual route, as you didn't want to embarrass yourself if it wasn't actually a date like occasion, and it was indeed a friendly gesture.

So you grabbed the light jeans and some navy trainers along with a denim jacket and a white shirt.

Once you'd gotten all your clothes, you struggled around with the door to it and finally closed it again, and messed around with changing yourself.

After another 10-ish minutes go by, and you finally can take a look at yourself in the mirror to see yourself fully dressed this time which made you happier and laugh a little.

So with your serotonin surge, you skipped down the stairs with a happiness in your veins as your friend looked at you head to toe and was sure impressed with your efforts.

"Wow you look amazing y/n! I wish I had your body for real." Your friend says, her voice matching her face with awestruck features.

"Stop you look amazing too! Don't compare yourself to me okay? You are beautiful." You say, as she smiled back at your genuine reply.

"Thanks. Oh you better get going, James might be on the move too you know." Your friend jokingly said, nudging your arm.

"Who knows, he may take a little tour around here before our meet up." You giggle, as just the thought of him made you buzz with excitement.

Your friend just laughed at your little comment, before you shifted past her and said your goodbyes.

"See ya mate, hope it goes well."

"Yeah I do too. I'll let you know if anything interesting happens but I'm not promising that I will remember to message." You say, as you open the door at this point, the outdoors entering your house.

She just laughed and rolled her eyes, before smiling at you which lit you up also before you strode out the door, closing it behind you.

Just then your phone buzzed, which you grabbed immediately to see a notification from James.

hey y/n! check round the corner real quick.

You looked at your phone in confusion. Check around the corner? What for, you pondered, as you set off, and then around the corner like James had told you to in that message.

Just when you turned, you saw something that made you squeal with utter happiness and excitement.

It was James, standing there and when he caught a glimpse of you, his face lit up even more.
