The next day, I was working my usual shift at Granny's Diner. Same people, the usual orders, etc. etc.

I sat down with a cup of hot chocolate replaying the time just before Regina's curse took place, and when Emma was born.

I was helping Geppetto and Pinocchio with the finishing touches to the enchanted tree, when I heard screams from Snow White's room, and a guard rushing into the room. "Princess Rose Red, her majesty, Queen Snow White, requests your presence immediately in the King and Queen's chamber."

Geppetto placed a hand on my shoulder, grabbing my attention. "Go on ahead, Gerda. Pinocchio and I will take it from here. Your sister needs you."

I smiled at him and and nodded. "Thank you, Geppetto." I walked over to Pinocchio and ruffled his hair playfully. "You be a good boy and help him, okay? I'll see you soon." With that said, I left with the guard, but I eventually started running towards Snow White's and David's room with the guard running to catch up with me.

As soon as I reached their room, I swung the door open and saw Snow White on the bed screaming and crying with David holding her in his arms on her right side, and Doc standing beside them. I politely ordered the guard who went to collect me to give us some privacy, but close by for protection so that no one enters without permission, to which he agreed without hesitation before I entered the room. "Snowflake!"

Snow turned her head to the side and looked relieved to see me, despite the tiredness in her eyes and her tear stained cheeks. "Rosebud! Rosebud, I need your help! I can't do this!"

I grabbed a towel before I went over to Snow's left side and held her hand whilst trying to dry her eyes from her tears, her forehead and sides of her head from sweating . "It's okay Snow, you'll be absolutely fine. You've got myself and David here to help you through this, as well as Doc."

"Come on Snow, just one more push." David encouraged her.

"You can do this, my sweet little sister. We love you so much." After those words left me, Snow squeezed both mine and David's hands and gave one final push.

A moment of silence fell upon us other than Snow's heavy breathing, until the sound of a baby's cry filling the entire room. The three of us sighed in relief and smiled at each other.

When Doc had wrapped the baby up in the knitted blanket that Granny made, he carefully placed her in Snow's awaiting arms. Doc left to tell the other dwarves of the success of the birth of Emma as the three of us smiled at baby Emma in her mothers arms.

All of a sudden, Snow frowned. "The wardrobe." She looked from David to me, then back to David again. "It only takes one."

The sound of swords clashing and battles cries could be heard loud and clear from the room as the realization of the Evil Queens curse finally making its appearance throughout the kingdom dawned on us. "Then, our plan has failed."

David tried to comfort Snow, even though he looked exhausted and scared himself. "At least we're together."

I shook my head. "No, there is still time."

"My sister is right. You have to take her." Snow looked at David pleadingly. "Take the baby to the wardrobe."

David looked at Snow incredulously. "Are you out of your mind?"
