"The curse is keeping them apart with the coma." I heard Henry explain to Emma as I walked over to them. "Now they're stuck without each other."
"Don't worry about Prince Charming." I assured them. "As long as Snow White is there to give him true loves kiss, he'll be sure to wake up in no time."
Emma raised a brow at me, obviously still not buying any of this at all. "How can you be so sure? This town is cursed, which means they probably don't know each other, which means true loves kiss wouldn't work."
"That's why we have to tell Miss Blanchard we found her Prince Charming." Said Henry. I nodded in agreement.
"Okay, kid, telling someone their...soulmate is in a coma is probably not helpful." Emma made a very good point. "Not having a happy ending is painful enough, but...giving someone unrealistic hope is far worse."
"Your mother's right, Henry." I told him. "But that doesn't mean to say we can't try to help your grandmother remember her husband, as well as her daughter."
"What do you mean?" Emma asked.
"What I mean is that there are ways we can help Snow White remember her life from when she and everyone else lived in the Enchanted Forest. If not Snow White, then our next option is helping Prince Charming remember instead." I elaborated. "Emma, we know who they really are, and I'm pretty sure a small part of you knows, too. If I was able to lift the towns curse with just a magic wand like Tinkerbell and the Blue Fairy or some other magical object, then I would have done that a long time ago, but I wasn't able to."
Emma's expression softned. "You tried to break the towns curse all on your own?"
I nodded. "I tried, but I wasn't able to because I needed you, Emma."
Emma looked puzzled. "Me?"
I waved a hand in dismissal. "I'll explain later. For now, what we need to do is help your father remember your mother, and if he remembers her, then he'll remember you."
"And you, aunt Gerda." Henry pointed out. "You're his sister-in-law. Once Prince Charming remembers Snow White, he'll remember Rose Red and all the characters from the fairy tales he had crossed paths with as well."
"And how do you intend to make that happen?" Emma questioned.
"By reminding him." Henry answered confidently while making eye contact with me. I smiled and nodded for him to continue. Emma tilted her head to the side slightly in confusion. "We have to get Snow White to read their story to John Doe, then maybe he'll remember who he is."
Emma leaned toward Henry and paused for a moment before giving him a small smile. "Okay."
"Okay?" Henry repeated.
"Yeah, we'll do it." Emma confirmed. "But we'll do it my way. Let me ask her." I grinned at Henry and gave him two thumbs up, making him smile widely at the both of us.

After I helped close the diner with Ruby and Granny, I walked with Emma to Mary Margaret's place. I was beyond happy when she told me she's considering asking Mary Margaret if she could stay at her place. That way, she can spend time getting to know her and hopefully...just hopefully, Emma will realize that Snow White really is her mother.
I handed Emma some food I placed in a take-away bag for her. "Here you go. It's my special cookie recipe with a hint of cinnamon. I thought you might like to try some. Not to brag or anything, but these are Henry's favourite cookies. Honestly, since he started reading that book, he's been refusing to consume anything Regina bakes. There's enough for Mary Margaret as well."
