Julie's POV:

Julie was unable to sleep all night. She tossed and turned in her bed as she remembered the way the mysterious man kissed. Never in her life had she been kissed that way.

The way his cold tongue explored the inside her mouth, or the way his large index finger played inside of her.

She still couldn't believe he had stopped just like that. What kind of sick game was he playing?

Would she see him again?

After tossing and turning, Julie finally decided to jump out of bed.

She rented a studio apartment on the other side of the city. It was an open floor design with no walls. Her large king size bed was placed on the other side of the room, with her large white vanity table and all her house plants.

Walking towards her best friend, the keurik, she made herself a dark roast with a splash of oatmilk and a teaspoon of raw sugar.

As she cupped her hot mug in her hands, she took a large whiff of the sweet aroma before taking a sip.

Just as she did, she felt a nudge at her leg. She looks down to see her black Schnauzer,  Jasper, holding his empty food bowl and whining.

He had gotten into the habit of when there was no more food, to bring her his cute bowl decorated with bones. He had his own little water fountain so that was never an issue.

Julie smiled at him as she leaned down and fluffed his ears. She grabbed his dog food as he made his breakfast. One cup of dry dog food, a farm egg with the shell membrane, a few blueberries, a tablespoon of coconut oil for his coat, and his daily supplements.

He happily trotted behind her as she set his food bowl down next to the water as he began to eat happily, wagging his tail.

Normally during the day Julie ran errands with Jasper, today she only had to do some grocery shopping so she would be leaving him at home.

She normally didn't mind taking him, but she knew it wouldn't take long. She'd be home quickly.

Grabbing her mug, she walked over to her closet as she began pulling a few articles of clothing.

She decided on wearing an oversized black knitted sweater with tight blue jeans and her black converse.

Lightly, she put on some makeup, layering on her mascara and putting on a dark red lipstick.

And there he was again.

That devilish man playing in her mind. Julie crossed her legs as an ache began to throb in between them.

She gave herself a mental shake as she grabbed her phone and purse. Picking up her keys from the end table, she gave Jasper a kiss on his snoot and took off walking.

Normally if the weather was crappy she would take a taxi. But it was such a nice day out with a smooth breeze.

But still, it was New York.

She held her bag close as she kept her hand over the bulky item that rested in there. It was her pepper spray and knuckle buster. Everyone at the Red Room kept telling her to invest in a gun. But knowing her, she'd end up shooting herself.

Once she arrived to the grocery store, she grabbed a small cart and began to pack it with the essentials. Green vegetables, fruit, chocolate oreo filling, Coco Pebbles cereal, chocolate milk, chocolate mousse ice cream.

So she liked chocolate. Who didn't?

As she was about to round the corner, she hit a man walking by with a grocery basket. Julie was absolutely mortified when she saw the cart go over his foot.
