I approach
with nothing more then a silly question
to sit on the empty chair across you
where my soul had already made a home
you respond
with something that makes my heart want more
I want to talk and talk
spewing words as if they clogged my throat
but I don't
I say something funny
he responds with something better
and I can only smile in return
wanting it to continue forever
a smile one that resembles a bunny
a flutter of your eyelashes
the single strand of your greying hair
on your relaxed forehead
you make me want to want it more
you make me need to want it more
