{Zayn's POV}

I left Avery in the corner of the room to call Simon and see if we can get another guard for her. I was steaming because of what Perrie had said to her over the phone. I was upset with myself too because I told Avery that Perrie wouldn't do anything to her. Perrie gets what she wants all the time so I know she won't give up on me until she completely kills Avery. Not literally of course, at least I don't think.

"Hello." Simon picked up the phone. He seemed a bit annoyed. What happened with him?

"Simon I need to know if we can get another guard for Avery. Perrie threatened her and she's not going to back down." He didn't respond for a minute or so and I thought we lost connection, I checked my phone.

"You still there?" I asked him. He let out a sigh then started talking again.

"I'm afraid Little Mix has gotten the rest of our security as there band is really starting to take off now. Just make sure Paul keeps an eye on Avery as well as he does with you boys." I was so confused. How can someone run out of security? We don't even need that much security, why do they? "Alright. Thanks Simon. Bye." "Bye." He said and I hung up the phone.

I walked back over to Avery who was still in the corner by herself. She looked like she was in deep thought but when I got in front of her her eyes snapped to mine. "Everything alright?" I asked her. Her voice was a bit shaky and it looked like there was pain in her eyes but I don't know why, I'm going to protect her. "Everything's fine." She said plastering a fake smile on her face. I can read her like a book it's not that hard. I looked her in the eyes until she gave in. "I heard what you said on the phone. That Perrie doesn't give up. I'm not a fighter, she's going to win you over." A tear fell down her cheek. I thought I was far away that she couldn't hear me. I feel so guilty right now I don't know what to do. I didn't even respond to her. I stood there and looked into her eyes as if it was the only thing I could do.

{Avery's POV}

I heard absolutely everything Zayn had said on the phone. I didn't hear the other side of the conversation but half of it was enough for me. When Zayn walked over to me I was in deep thought. What if she does hurt me? I'm not a fighter I can't do anything, can I? I don't want to lose Zayn I love him with all my heart. Zayn was standing right in front of me as my eyes snapped to his. "Everything alright?" He asked and I thought I could fool him. "Everything's fine." I said trying to put a real smile on my face. I knew he could tell it was fake. He was staring into my eyes waiting for me to give in and I did eventually. "I heard what you said on the phone. That Perrie doesn't give up. I'm not a fighter, she's going to win you over." I didn't realize tears were filling in my eyes until one rolled down my cheek. I want to be a fighter I really do. Against Perrie I'm a nobody, I'm nothing. All the fans are going to hate on me and I can't handle it. I couldn't handle it the first time and I never can handle it. Zayn didn't say anything he just kept staring into my eyes. He looked like he wanted to say something but he couldn't find the words. I snapped my fingers in his face to make sure he was paying attention. "I'm not going to let her do anything to you. Trust me please." That's all he said. Nothing else like, 'I don't love her she can't get me back', 'I'll always be yours.' Nothing like that. He looked sincere as he said it but I wasn't so sure. "I'm sorry I-I can't do this." I whispered making t way passed him and out the door. Before I knew it I was running down the street. "Avery!" Someone yelled after me. It was to far away for me to make out who it was. I knew it was a girl but I didn't know which one. After a little while of running I finally got to my house. I ran through the door and slammed it leaning up against it. I slid down the door with tears rolling down my cheeks.
