Your Perspective

I slowly opened my eyes, getting accustomed to where I was. Still sealed in this archon forsaken tree and this forsaken forest. I tried to escape again, despite part of me knowing it would be futile. I tried to summon lightning from the skies to perhaps strike down the tree and raze the forest to the ground. But instead, the tree attracted the lightning, absorbing it and having the wood surrounding me grow tighter around my neck suffocating me, before it reverted back to normal. I sighed. Stuck here in a forest of cherry blossoms since the archon wars. Maybe this is a hell that my sealer knew I couldn't escape. It's not like I can call for help either. Nobody comes here through here, and the paths have since eroded away. I closed my eyes, deciding to fall asleep again, when I heard movement.

It's unmistakable, there's someone coming this way. And their Electro energy is immense too. Could this be my lucky break? I shook myself out of it, and put a plan into action, deciding to call out for help. Except, i hadn't spoken for so long, that my voice was more akin to a raspy death rattle than a voice. All I can hope is that whoever it is comes this way. Seems like i caught my lucky break, as I caught glimpse of a beautiful woman walking though, having birds perched on her shoulder and finger. Continued on her path almost walking past me, before one of the birds flew over and perched on my head.

"Oh my, I almost didn't notice you there." She says, with a melodic voice. The woman in purple inspects me, before deducing that I had been sealed there, having heard of my myth. I sighed, bowing my head down, thinking that I wouldn't be saved, or worse, considering I heard her drawing her blade. I hear the weapon slicing through the air and connecting. When I opened my eyes, I realized I was on the ground, unharmed. Attempting to stand but was having difficulties doing so. Thats when she holds out her hand, offering me to take it.

"I am Raiden Ei. I've heard of the myth of the demon of these woods but did not expect to find another archon instead. A pleasure to meet you."

I coughed, feeling my wrists, before holding her hand. Ei pulled me up. I told her my name, to which she pondered it over, before smiling.

"(Y/N) is an interesting name. But enough about that. You are free to go." She says motioning for me to go wherever I pleased. I rubbed the back of my head sheepishly, to which Ei took notice of.

"Is something the matter?"

"I . . . Don't really have a place left to go." I admitted in a raspy voice.

"If that is the case, then I might be able to get you a residence."

"Y-Youd do that for me?"

"Of course, I see someone who has been dealt a rather unfortunate hand. And we could do with a swordsman in our ranks. I take it you are adept at battling?"

"I mean yeah, its been a while. But if you're willing to accommodate me, then I will gladly work for you."

Ei smiles, before patting me on the head.

"Very well. Follow me."
