Your Perspective

"Hatamoto (Y/N) . . ."

"Hm, oh hey Ei! I've been feeling a lot better now that I've had a few days to rest. Thanks, allowing me such a prestigious position." I said, before finally turning around. I was a little confused, considering her change of outfit. Thats when Ei walked into the room confusing me.

"(Y/N), this is my sister Makoto. She's the goddess of this land." Ei says, presenting Makoto to me, to which she gave me a small smile.

"Oh, it is an honor to meet you." I said, going for a bow, to which Makoto told me that there was no need for that. Sheepishly, I stood upright.

"Ei has told me a lot about you, and from the myths I heard of you during the war . . . Forgive me, I must apologize for speaking so lightly about the tragedies you suffered." Makoto says softly, to which she bowed instead. I noticed that Ei's face reddened slightly at her sisters mention of talking about me. Makoko told me that she had a house prepared for me near the tree where Ei and I met. That was quick.

"And I would like for you to work in tandem with Ei, if possible. I hope that is not too much to ask of you, Hatamoto (Y/N)." Makoto says. I'm kind of sheepish at her addressing me at my title. Makes me feel a little embarrassed. Ei states that she can (respectfully work alone) and asks that I be reassigned to something more worthwhile.  Makoto stood unwavering, much to the further embarrassment of Ei, leading to me being a little confused at her antics.

"Nonetheless, I look forward to working with you Ei-san." I said, going for another bow, only to be told that it wouldn't be necessary again.

"That reminds me. I found a spear lodged in the tree you were recovered from; would it happen to belong to you?" Makoto asks. I nodded, saying it might have rusted over by now, to which she motions for a few weapon smiths to come in, bringing in my gungnir looking just like it did when it was brand new.

"We did our best to repair it. It might not be as great as it was before, but we did our best." She says nodding at me. I smile, thanking her graciously for the repairing of my weapon. I lightly tapped the ground, summoning some balls of electricity to float around it. Makoto said she would leave me and Ei to get to know each other better, winking at her before leaving the room with grace. Before she left, I heard a message making me promise to keep her company and to keep her safe, presumably from Makoto. I affirmed I would, before focusing back on Ei.

"Sooo, what would you like to do, Ei-san." I asked, giving her a sly smile. She promptly told me that there would be no need for honorifics between us, since she sees us as equals.

"If you say so. But i think the honorifics make such a cute name cuter." I said jokingly. Ei was about to say something before the rumble of my stomach interrupted us.

"Apologies for that i-"

"Haven't eaten today. Very well, allow me to treat you to a meal." She says, beckoning me to follow her, which I do so without hesitation.
