Generic Isekai Adventure

A completely new start (Prologue)

My name is Shinya Daichi, I'm 16 years old and I live in Sapporo, Japan, and let me tell you, life is boring. Not only are all the people around me idiots but I'm also a NEET with nothing better to do than play video games and watch anime. 

"Looks like it's dark outside already... Shinya! Go take out the garbage while I clean up the dishes!"

That was my sister, introductions don't matter at this point though, because my life is about to undergo a drastic change.

"Alright, be back in a second."

The night was cold, it was the end of fall anyways. As per usual the dumpster was across the street.

I don't know why the dumpster was so far away but-

**BLAAAM BLAAAAM**

Next thing I knew the ever so popular Isekai Truck had come face to face with me, and things were over in an instant. Now if i'm correct about this, I should be transported to a room with a beautiful goddess that will guide me to the next world any second now...

"Welcome, Daichi-Kun, to what awaits for you beyond death."

Bingo.

As I slowly get up, I see a bizarre looking girl across from me, bright pink hair, Emerald green eyes and a magical girl dress. 

So what things are a little different than what I imagined, I'm sure the concept of it all is the same in the end.

"So, what exactly happens now?"

The girl across from me replies

"I'd like you to take a look at this list."

After she says that, she hands me a couple pieces of paper filled to the brim with magic concepts and ideas, as I was reading it there were a lot of things I would presume to be very powerful magic types, like flame, electricity, plasma and even explosions have their own magic category

What really took me back was one that looked really weak

"...Paper?"

The goddess seemed to understand and replied

"As much as you might not be used to it, all of these magic types have the same power, with the only differences being effects that linger afterwords"

Talk about unbelievable, no way in hell paper is as strong as an explosion.

"Now, have you finished reading?"

I nodded in response and handed the sheet back to the goddess, in a very bizarre fashion, a gacha machine appeared in front of me

"Wait don't tell me-"

"Yes, Daichi-Kun, the concept you know of as Isekai is true, and to determine your powers in the next world you will draw something from this machine. We chose this mechanic because we wouldn't want everyone running around with the same kind of overpowered magic type, right?"

Didn't she just say they were all equal in power?

"Don't worry young man, each magic spell has an equal chance to be drawn from this machine. Although you will draw something, you will not know what it is until you reach the next world."

I decided to come to terms with it and use the gacha, I began unknowingly praying I didn't get paper

Before I knew it, I had woken up in a forest by a cliff, almost as if I had fallen asleep there.

I got up and brushed off my clothing, which seems to have been changed to fit the style of this world.

I began to gaze at the town from the cliffs edge, while I felt a rustle in my back pocket. I reached in there to find a map, covered in clouds except for one location 

"Ironforge" 

Must be that town in the distance. I began to walk down the cliff, in which I saw a rustling bush. As I went to inspect it, a rabid dog like creature leapt out at me.

"GHAAA!"

I screamed on instinct, completely oblivious to the fact that I was safe. As I opened my eyes I saw that the top half of the creatures face had been melted down to the bone

I looked down at my hand and things immediately clicked. There was a green fluid on my hand that ran almost exactly like water, just being a little bit thicker

"Acid."

The goddess has blessed me with Acid magic. Then I remembered about the animal that attacked me. I'm used to seeing gore and stuff online, but it hits a whole lot different when it's right in front of you.

Holding back my vomit, I approach the town
