Ch. 5

3 days later, the Master called for a Hashira meeting. There, he introduced a boy named Tanjiro, who was not in a fantastic condition. He was tied up on the floor, and surrounded by the Pillars who looked at him from above, towering above him. The Master told the Hashira that the boy was traveling with a demon.

"Children. Please hear me out. " The master softly spoke. All of the pillars snapped their attention towards Ubuyashiki Kagaya. "This boy has encountered with Kibutsuji Muzan. He travels with his sister, a demon, and i ask you if you would understand the importance of letting them stay together." He continued.

All of the pillars minus Muichiro and Y/n's eyes widened and they surrounded him and crowded him with questions, about Kibutsuji. "What did he look like?", "How old was he?", "Did you fight him?", on and on and on.

"Master," Sanemi spoke once his fellow pillars calmed down, "As much as i respect you, i have to object. I think its completely unacceptable to let a demon live, considering how many people lives they have cost." The wind pillar bluntly stated.

Suddenly, Sanemi drew his sword and sliced his arm, causing a deep cut, and let the blood drip onto Nezuko's box. He taunted her with the blood, as a groan from the demon girl was heard from the box. "Shinazugawa. The demon won't come out of the box in the sun. Do it in the shade." Obanai Iguro advised.

 "Obanai-Sama-" Y/n began before being cut off by Shinazugawa Sanemi, who nodded his head and turned towards the master and said, "I apologize for my discourtesy, Master." He bowed and picked up the box, taking it into the shade of the Headquarters.

Sanemi stabbed the box again and urged the demon to come out of its box, causing it to reveal its true nature. Tanjiro called out to Nezuko but Obanai elbowed him in the back, holding him down.

Sanemi stabbed the box a third and final time when Nezuko emerged from the box, slightly drooling and tempted by the blood. All of the other pillars watched expectantly, thinking Nezuko would attack Sanemi, but at last, she turned away and resisted.

Gasps and quiet murmurs were exchanged between a few pillars, but soon stopped. Sanemi growled and returned to his spot. Obanai raised his hand and was going to (probably) inflict harm on Tanjiro, but his hand was stopped by both Giyuu and Y/n standing behind [Tanjiro and Obanai], in which Giyuu grabbed Obanai's hand and Y/n pulled Obanai backwards.

"Eh, Obanai, i think the demon proved she is worthy of not getting herself and brother killed, hm? Please don't commit a homicide, you know i despise having to help clean." Y/n cheerfully said.

Obanai grunted and walked off. Giyuu returned to his spot but Y/n bent down and inspected Tanjiro. "Hm...so you're a descendant of...never mind..." She muttered to herself. A second later, her eyes widened, as she hadn't recognized her own voice, which had just said those words. "Gomen." She said, looking down. She helped Tanjiro from the ground and walked back to her spot, yet she didn't say another word the entire rest of the meeting.

"who's voice was that...? It wasn't mine-right? It didn't sound like me-" Y/n worriedly thought to herself. A concerned expression was visible on her face, and though someone who didn't know her would brush it off, those who did would be surprised. Y/n had a personality where she would hide her emotions and lie to the world, similar to Shinobu. Why would she be so surprised she would express it on her face, in public?

Y/n found out the truth about Shinobu when she had returned from a mission and knocked on Shinobu's private office door.  "Kocho-Sama, can you help me? I gained a deep cut during a mission and would like you to check if it's infected. Pleaseee?" Y/n begged. Inside, a surprised gasp was audible and items falling off a table as well.
