Akaashi got to Bokuto's door and knocked. When no one answered he turned the nob to see if it was unlocked. It was. He slowly opened the door. In the moment he felt the whole world stop from the site that he saw. His eyes widened...
Bokuto turned to see Akaashi in his door way.
"Perfect timing huh," Bokuto said not seeming happy. The once happy man seemed to never exist. Bokuto's tone and face had only rage and most of all sadness.
Akaashi's eyes slowly moved to the other person in the room. Kenma.
"Hey Akaashi," Kenma said in a his normal tone as if there wasn't an elephant in the room.
"What are you doing here?" Akaashi asked Kenma while he rubbed the back of his neck.
"I don't think you need to ask him that. Out of anyone you shouldn't be here," Bokuto said in a harsh way making Akaashi take a step back.
"Bokuto calm down-" Akaashi put his hands up as Bokuto got up.
"Why'd you say yes?" Bokuto asked taking his ring off and holding up to Akaashi.
"I-I thought its what I wanted. Can we just please sit down," Akaashi pleaded.
"How could you think anyone could be calm about this," Bokuto said taking another step to Akaashi. Akashi looked at Kenma who just returned a blank stare. Akaashi felt a harsh hand grab his chin making him look at Bokuto.
"There's no need to look at him. He doesn't have the answers," Bokuto said looking right into Akaashi's eyes. In that moment Alaashi's phone makes a sound of a text. Bokuto grabbed Akaashi's phone from him and looked at the text. "Huh. Not surprised, it's your boyfriend," Bokuto said letting go of Akaashi's chin and walked back to the couch were he was sitting. "Let's see how all of this plays out why don't we." Bokuto said looking behind Akaashi. I'm the door way being hind Akaashi was none other thank Kuroo. Kuroo put his hands on Akaashi's shoulders and moving him into the apartment so they both were in. Kuroo closed the door calmly before sighing.
"We all need to take a breathe. Clearly people are pissed off and we don't need yelling. Yes we did something not that great but that's why we are here, to talk about it. Let's be adults," Kuroo said seeming not to be fazed but all of the tension in the room.
"Yeah like anyone could be calm about this Kuroo. You're probably the one that pushed Akaashi into your little game," Bokuto raised his voice a bit.
"Bokuto I said calm down. We are going to talk about this," Kuroo said walking himself and Akaashi over to Bokuto's bar stools. Him and Akaashi took a seat. "So Kenma clearly beat Akaashi here, and he thinks it's okay for Bokuto to get a little too out of hand," Kuroo looked over at Kenma who just glared back. "Really mature Kenma. I know you're upset but come on, let's not act let teenagers here," Kuroo took a pause before continuing. "Let's start from the beginning shall we? Me and Akaashi had started seeing each other a little before Bokuto purposed. Akaashi was going to end it with Bokuto because he didn't feel like it was working for him, before he could, Bokuto, you purposed so he thought it wasn't going to work with me. Is this right Akaashi?" Kuroo asked looking at Akaashi.
"Yeah," Akaashi replies looking at his hands that were folded together on his lap.
"Akaashi had ended it with me after the proposal but I didn't want to end it because I still have feelings. But we did. Akaashi came back and I took that chance, wasn't a good idea but I didn't think clearly. Hinata had known before, I told him to be quiet but when others found out on their own, they asked and he didn't lie. Kenma had found out and so I told him the truth as well. Yes I know that I was with him as well at the time but I was trying to lose my feelings for Akaashi but it didn't work, instead I ended up hurting him..." Kuroo pauses and looked at Kenma. "I'm sorry," Kuroo said and went back to explaining. "So as you know I told Akaashi to make a choose for himself. Now here we are." Kuroo finished and looked around to the others. Bokuto didn't seem to be as angry anymore but very depressed.
"Why'd you say yes?" Bokuto asked Akaashi looking at the ground. Akaashi got up and knelt down to Bokuto and put a hand on Bokuto's shoulder.
"I thought it could work, I thought my feelings for kuroo would leave after. They never did and I ended up being confused. I never wanted to hurt you but I ended up hurting you. I'm sorry," Akaashi apologize. Bokuto looked up with sadness in his eyes as he weakly smiled at Akaashi.
"I'm happy for you two," Bokuto said looking between Akaashi and Kuroo. "If you two are happy than I will be. I am very hurt still but you two are my best friends. Not everyone will be happy but if you two are happy together than please be together. I don't want you two being unhappy. Don't worry about me, if me and Akaashi were to get married, you two would just be unhappy for the rest of your life's," Bokuto finished saying before getting up and hugging both other them. Kenma who was sitting on the side in silence the whole time finally got up and joined the group hug.
"I got cats so I'm good with not getting married," with Kenmas small commentary they group started to laugh. The room started to brighten up.
"If we are all good... do you guys want to just hang out here?" Bokuto ask. "I can order pizza, as we cancel the wedding things," Bokuto added. The group looked at each other before agreeing. The group ended up having a great night with pizza, movies, laughter, and karaoke.
