Baby August (stefanielle)

"Be gentle with mommy" Stefania whispered before placing a soft kiss to her sons cheek.

"Gentle" he repeated before leaning down to place a kiss atop of Danielles stomach.

"Good boy" Danielle praised watching her son pat her stomach gently as instructed by his mama.

"When baby come home mommy?" He asked wanting to meet his baby brother.

"Soon my love" Danielle was due to give birth to her second son within the last week of august, which was in the midst of happening.

"Soon" he whispered before resting his head on Danielle's stomach.

Danielle and Stefania shared a look smiling at each other.

"Bedtime bello" Stefania placed her hand softly on her sons back waiting for him to lift his head.

"Night mommy" he leaned in closer so he could kiss Danielle.

"Night my love" she kissed her hand and blew it towards Arlo.

Stefania had put Arlo to bed and was now cuddled up with her wife on the sofa.

"We should head to bed" Danielle yawned before placing a single kiss to Stefania's forehead.

"Sì" Stefania kissed Danielle's cheek before moving from the sofa.

She stood and waited for Danielle to join her.

"I'll need help" Danielle laughed as she attempted and failed to stand up.

"Sì sorry my love" Stefania held onto Danielle's hand and pulled her from the sofa.

"Thank you" Danielle wrapped her arms around her wife's neck and placed lazy kisses to her lips.

"Always" small moments like these always made both of them remember back to when they first started dating.

Nothing had changed since then.

Danielle was going to say something but was stopped when she felt something wet gush down her thighs.

"Oh" she breathed looking down her side and in fact seeing water surround both herself and Stefania in a puddle.

"What's wrong?" Danielle wanted to laugh at how oblivious Stefania was, but she was more focused on knowing that her water breaking meant that the baby was coming.

"Look down" Stefania did as she was told eyes widening when she realised what had happened.

"Hospital" was all Stefania could think to say.

Danielle nodded and walked over to the door.

"Wait we need Arlo" Danielle remembered that her little boy was sleeping in his room.

"Oh Sì" Stefania rushed into Arlos room soon coming back out with the tired boy resting against Stefania's chest.

"Shh my love it's ok" she gently passed Arlo over to Danielle so she could grab the hospital bags they had already packed.

Danielle ran her hand up and down the length of his back trying to soothe him after being disturbed.

"Mommy" Arlo whined against Danielle's neck.

"It's ok baby" she kissed the top of his head.

"Ok let's go" Stefania stood with the bag slung over her shoulder her hands out so she could take Arlo from Danielle.

Danielle passed her son over to Stefania watching as she rested him against her hip.

Arlo placed his hands in Stefania's hair and rested his head on her shoulder.

"Baby time" Stefania whispered before leaning closer to Danielle so she could place a kiss to her lips.

"I'm afraid we'll have to do a C-section Danielle" Stefania new that something had to be wrong for a C-section to happen.

She held Arlo against her hip, the small boy excited to see his baby brother.

"What's wrong with him?" Danielle groaned.

"Your baby has decided to flip over, the chord is wrapped around his neck. It was be too dangerous to push" Stefania rested her hand against her wife's sweaty forehead, sweeping the dampened hair from her face.

"He'll be ok" she reassured.

Truth was she was terrified.

She wasn't a doctor, she didn't know what was going to happen, but she had to be there for Danielle.

"Mommy pain?" Danielle shook her head.

"A little my love" Arlo nodded his head.

"Baby hurt mommy?" Stefania answered this one.

"He isn't hurting mommy my love he's just scared" Arlo thought for a moment.

"Baby come now?" He asked, and this time the nurse  answered.

"Yes baby needs to come now" she gave Danielle a pointed look before going by her side to start getting her ready for the procedure.

"What they doing to mommy?" Arlo asked as he sat on Stefania's lap.

Stefania had no choice but to bring Arlo in the room with them because no one else could watch him.

"Getting the baby out my love" Stefania held onto Danielle's hand.

There was a curtain dividing Danielle from Stefania and Arlo.

Not long later they heard cries fill the room.

Stefania let out a breath she didn't realise she was holding.

"Baby" Arlo was really excited to see his brother.

"Yes sweetheart your brother is here now" she kissed the top of his head.

"Meet him?" He asked.

"Soon" Stefania answered.

"Do we have a name for the handsome boy?" The nurse asked.

"Not yet" Danielle answered as her newborn baby laid on top of her chest.

"What about August?" Stefania asked.

"August... I like that, and it makes sense seen as though he's born in August" Danielle thought about it for a couple of seconds before speaking again.

"We'll name him August" Danielle answered the nurses lingering question.

She smiled before giving the couple and their sons time to themselves.

"Arlo meet your baby brother August Savre Spampinato" Arlo was sat on the bed next to his mother, he moved his hands with caution across his smooth head.

"Gentle"
