"Why did you suddenly flinch away when we're holding hands while walking earlier? What's bothering you, Jimin?"
Jungkook and Jimin stopped in front of the department store because the younger one was feeling nervous and anxious because their fans saw them earlier.
"I saw our fans in front of the milktea shop that's why I let go of your hand—"
Jungkook frowned. "And so? Jimin, everyone knows that we are dating. I even kissed you in public. You even told everyone about our relationship, why are you so scared now?"
Jimin looked down. "I'm sorry."
"Let's go."
Jungkook walked first and Jimin followed him. They went to a small shop that sells face masks, and the younger one was confused.
"What's wrong with you? Why are you buying masks?"
"I'm being considerate since you think bringing me out is shameful to you." Jungkook coldly said.
Jimin was about to remove his mask, but Jungkook pulled away and he walked out.
Jimin sighed as he ran and followed him. "Love, speak to me. What's the matter?"
"I'm unfit to show my face in public because I'm too ugly."
"Love, stop being mad. That's not what I mean." Jimin pouted, as he succeeded in removing Jungkook's mask.
"Fine. It's my fault, okay? Can you let me off? Just now, our fans were there. Yeah, even though I tell our relationship to the public that doesn't mean we must let them see us holding hands. Do you remember the comments I showed you last time? They can't accept you having a boyfriend. They won't accept it." He added.
"I don't care about that. Return the mask to me—"
"No. But I care about that. I'm not afraid that they'll treat me like how they treat Taehyung. I'm not afraid that they will say that I'm seducing you is the only thing I know. I only know that ever since you started out as a pro gamer, no one has ever criticized you before, even the haters on our Twitter page." Jimin explained.
"So?" Jungkook asked.
"So, I won't allow others to ruin your reputation because of me."
Jungkook sighed. "But you're doing it yourself. Everyone has their own weaknesses. I have my own weakness as well. That is you. I don't care about what others might be saying about me. If they look at me in a positive way, I'll be happy. But I won't let them manipulate me because of moral obligations. They come up with their assessment of me because of my behavior. I do not adjust my behavior because of their assessment. Do you understand what I mean?" Jungkook explained.
Jimin shakes his head.
"I just fell in love with a man. I didn't do anything wrong. Why must you try to protect me all the time?"
Jimin suddenly smiled as he tiptoed and kissed Jungkook on the lips. The older one was surprised by the action as he looked at Jimin with a smile on his face.
"Let's go."
When they arrived home, Jimin couldn't help but to overthink and blame himself for what he had done earlier.
He walked to the kitchen, and Beomgyu noticed it.
They didn't eat dinner outside? He thought.
Jimin decided to cook dinner for both of them. He grabbed his phone and texted Jungkook.
Jungkook sighed as he put back his phone in his pocket.
Shorty, you don't know how weak I am when it comes to you. He thought
Jungkook finished showering and when he decided to go to the kitchen, there, he saw Jimin, fell asleep while waiting for him.
Cute.
Jungkook walked and quietly approached the younger, sleeping peacefully. He saw that Jimin had already eaten his food.
"You ate first. I'm sorry for keeping you wait." Jungkook whispered as he slowly cupped Jimin's puffy cheeks and he sat beside him, and started eating the food Jimin had prepared.
Jungkook finished eating and washed the dishes before coming back to Jimin's side. The younger was still sleeping.
"Love." He called, but he's not waking up.
"Love. Wake up." Jungkook kissed his forehead.
Jimin softly groans, and when he slowly opened his eyes, Jungkook smiled at him. "Let's go to bed? It's already late—"
Jimin hugged him tightly. "Don't be mad at me again, please. I'm so sorry, love."
Jungkook hugged him back. "I'm not mad anymore, okay? Come on, don't cry."
Jimin pulled away from the hug and he looked up at him. "Can I sleep with you tonight? They say it will rain hard tonight, and there might be a thunderstorm..."
Jungkook softly chuckled. "Is my Baby J scared of thunderstorm?"
He nodded. "V-Very much..."
Jungkook kissed his forehead. "Don't be scared. I'll protect you."
When they arrived at Jungkook's room, Jungkook carried him before placing him on his bed, closing the curtains so that Jimin wouldn't see the thunderstorm.
Jimin waited for him before Jungkook decided to join him on the bed.
When a loud crack of thunder appeared, Jimin screamed, and held Jungkook tightly. Burying his face on his chest. Jungkook pulled him closer, and started caressing his back.
"I'm here. I'll get my noise canceling headphones so that you won't hear the thunder." Jungkook whispered.
"D-Don't leave... It's fine... I want you close and lure me to sleep... Sing me a song..." Jimin stuttered.
Jungkook left soft kisses on his forehead, and covered them with a blanket. "I'll sing you a song, baby."
Jimin hummed, and Jungkook started singing Angel Baby by Troye Sivan. Jimin smiled, and held him tighter, eyes shut.
When Jungkook finished singing, he noticed that Jimin fell asleep.
"Good night, love."
