By some weird twisting of fate, I found myself leaning into Yoongi. No one knew of us. Of how we talked, how we leaned into eachother.

From that morning on, I had found my heaven in the darkness. And when Kaylen hit me up at school, I found myself telling myself that I had to do this without him.

"Hey Ila!" I looked over my shoulder at the sound of Kaylens voice.

"Hey Kay." I said.

"Hey, so I wanted to talk real quick. We've been so busy lately and I thought that I'd catch you when I could." He told me.

"Uhm, yea."

We made our way out, the period was a study hall of sorts, so I didn't mind skipping.

"Ah Kay, look I don't want you to think that I didn't like the date, but I felt we were to similar." He looked at me and let out a sigh.

"Okay, atleast we're on the same page. I really thought I was about to come off as a jerk." He gave an awkward laugh.

"Are We good? Or is this where we say we are but either avoid or bash eachother?" I asked.

"Slight avoidance and then slowly become close acquaintances. Maybe friends later on?"

"Yea, I'd like that." We both shared a laugh.

"I'm gonna go for a drink, you want to start avoidingme now or after a drink?" I asked.

"After."

We hit up a cafe at the corner, it was a tea stand bar, so we just spent time talking.

It was just small talk, but I guess we really caught the baristas attention.

"Are you two dating?" He asked.

"No, just grabbing a drink." He answered. The barista gave a polite smile, but seemed to linger on Kay.

I leaned towards Kaylen.

"Hey, are the rumers about you being into guys as well true? Because he's cute and definitely checking you out." I said.

"Yea, but I doubt he is." I rolled my eyes and leaned over to call him over before we left.

"If you're into guys, give him your number." I told the barista before leaving the two together.

Keylen texted me not five minutes later with a ' ;) ' and 'you were right'.

I laughed at the texts that lit up my phone.

"What's got you laughing?" I looked up from my phone to see a girl from school.

I didn't know her all that well, but we had two classes together.

"Ah, nothing much." She nodded and leaned back and forth on her heels.

"So you and Jihyun, huh?"

"Me and Jih- what? No. He's my brother." She smiled at that, but her face turned into a small frown quickly after.

Having an idea if where this was going, I added "And he's single if anybody is asking." She gave a soft smile.

"I won't give his number out, but he's very easy to talk to. Very friendly too."

"Well- uhm . . . good to know." She looked away, as if she was talking for a friend.

"Yea, sure. Ho easy on the kid. Sister, not girlfriend and very quick to take care of anyone to hurt him." I added before turningbto walk away.

Springbreally did seem to bring love. We had break after today. Two weeks off.

I crossed the road to get to the grocery store, the boys eating out the fridge at my house, as well as Ji's.

I grabbed a cab back once I had all the groceries.

Once I packed their fridge, I headed to my house to pack my own.

"Hey honey." I looked up to see my mom looking over the bills, when she see may gaze she shifted to put them behind her.

"Mom, seriously? You don't have to hide them. I really don't mind helping out every now and then. What do you need?" She sighed but moved away from the table for me to come have a look.

I looked them over and pulled the water bill from the table.

"I've got this and half of . . " I looked and grabbed the car bill. She gasped and went to grab it.

"Half mom. That's all. It's fine, really." I pulled my wallet from my purse and pulled out the money needed.

She knew that their was no debating, and took the money from my hands.

"I'm sorry baby. You shouldn't have to do this." I shook my head and just reached to hold her hand, giving it a light squeeze.

"You didn't choose to have me. You didn't choose this life, but fate always has a way of working out. Right?" She nodded and layed her face unto my shoulder, her body trembling.

"Let's get you some food, huh?" I guided her to sit down and moved the bills to the counter.

She was raped as a teenager, and out came me. She didn't even get to choose to abort me, not knowing until it was to late. She doesn't remind me everyday, or make my life hell. She just lives. Trying to provide me with what she feels I should have. That's one reason why soccer was so important to me. I needed this scholarship. I needed this ride.

"Here." I handed her a plate of chicken and egg fried rice.

"I've got to get to Aunties house." I said and she nodded with her mouth full.

"Hey Fawn, I love you." I smiled.

"I love you too."

I grabbed a Taxi to their house, where everyone was spread out. What suprised me was Taehyung.

"You're back!" I smiled and went over to hug him.

"Fawn, it's been forever!" Taehyung had always had this bubbly part of himself that he gave to many people, but he was far from naive as most people believed. When Jimin, Ji, or I ever had any problems when we were in grade school, he was the first to show kindness. Him and u always had a special bond that we usually kept to ourselves. The boys didn't know much of our friendship, but they did know that we used to date.

"Fawn? I thought your name was Ila?" I pulled back from our hug to see a pretty bleached blond haired girl.
