"It's been so damn long."
"He's talking to professors, Ribbons."
I rolled my eyes, turning my head to look at the door again, but still no sign of Mattheo.
Then the bell rang.
We faded into the corridors, on our way to our next classes. But I took a de-tour. I passed the Detention class, only to see the doors open, and the entire room empty.
Then, in fury, I made my way to Astronomy. There, someone sat down beside me, making me look at them, before suddenly seeing a busted open face.
"Oh my Merlin-"
"He's trouble, Ribbons." Joe sighed, just as I lift my hands to his scars; unhealed.
"I promise you I didn't know that he'd-"
"It's fine, Ribbons," he sighed. "He's trouble, Ribbons. Don't hang around him."
"Like you care," I scoffed. "Merlin, Joe. You cant leave me and then tell me what's good or bad for me."
"Ribbons..."
I sighed, looking around the teacherless classroom.
"Look, I know I left you-"
"Without a reason..."
"But I still care, Ribbons."
I scoffed. "Oh please. I'm acting like a whore? How is that caring?"
Joe sighed, still looking at me. "I'm just worried, Ribbons. Riddle is trouble."
I stayed silent, scanning around the room. I heard him sigh, but he didn't move. I was unsure where our teacher was, but the rest of the class seemed unbothered.
"Please listen to me, Ribbons. Don't ignore me.
In frustration, I turned to Joe again.
"Joe, I loved you. I really did. And Mattheo and I dated so that I could make you jealous and win you back. Well fuck you."
I grabbed my bag, pushing myself to my feet before storming out of the room. Many eyes fell onto me, but I kept walking. Then, I heard Joe follow behind me.
"Ribbons, wait. What's going on with you?"
"Me?" I yelled, turning around on the staircase. "You left me, and you expect me to stay the same? Six years down the drain, only to see you with a girl in Hogsmead and then in the corridors and then at the fight. I'm fucking fine! What's going on with you?"
"We weren't working out," he spilled calmly. "Ribbons, we were not working. If I didn't end it we'd continue looking like friends."
"We'll now we're not even friends. Happy?"
He sighed. "Come on, Ribbons."
"What do you want from me?" I laughed. "A hug? Comfort? Attention?"
"Just to talk."
"So conversation?"
He groaned. "I can't with you!"
I scoffed. With me??? What the fuck did I do? You're making no sense?!
"Then don't," I laughed. "Don't talk to me. Maybe then you'll realize what a big moran you are!"
"Ribbons-"
"Oh fuck off!"
I turned around, storming down the stairs, and this time he didn't follow.
