You woke up in a panic, glancing at the time before swearing loudly. You were going to be late to work. You knew you shouldn't have stayed out as long as you did with Marc, Steven and Khonshu. Besides Marc and Steven, who were in one body, you could see Khonshu. You weren't sure why, but the Egyptian God believes you have a connection to the moon. Due to this, Khonshu promised to keep an eye on you in case this possible connection would cause danger.

You swore again and ripped off your covers, hastily start to prepare your morning tea and pop in a bagel into the toaster. You hurriedly stomped into room once again and take off your pajamas, looking for presentable clothes.

"I forgot to do laundy, fuck!" You hissed and started scavenging through your clothes for something either clean or clean enough.

"My little human, what has you so stressed?" Khonshu's deep and gravelly voice filled the space. On a normal day, you would have been more bashful when you didn't have proper coverage on, but right now you were too focused on putting together an outfit.

"I'm going to be late, I overslept!" You snapped, not at him, but to the situation. You turn on your heel, facing him as you start to shimmy on pants.

"What are those?" The God asked, making you hault in place.

"...Pants?"

"I know what pants are." He practically growled at you making a fool out of him. Khonshu knelt to the ground right in front of you, his beak almost poking you as his hand not clutching his staff reaches out. His finger tips lightly drag over the somewhat new and faint scars along your stomach. His head tilted to the side as he pushed down your pants a bit to feel the stretch marks along your hips and thighs. His touch was almost nonexistent, you half expect not to feel anything, but surprisingly you did.

"Khonshu?"

"Who did this to you? Who dared to have laid their hands on my human?" He growled, his grip on his staff tightened. "I will have them punished slowly for causing you any pain."

"Khonshu." Your face broke out into a smile. "I wasn't hurt to get these marks. I simply grew. They are called stretch marks, they happen to almost every human because of how we each grow."

"There was no pain?"

"No, there wasn't."

"Some look fresh."

"Yes, I put on some weight after meeting you, Marc and Steven. I call it happy weight." You chuckle lightly, placing your hand on what seemed like the boney cheek of his skull. "I'm okay, I wasn't hurt. Thank you for worrying."

"No need to thank me, I will always fret over you." The tip of his beak lightly tapped your cheek.

The sound of your toaster finally releasing the bagels snapped you back into what you were doing.

"Shit!" You hurriedly pulled your pants back up and turned around to grab the shirt you found.

Khonshu's head tilted when he saw you back. It was a faint mark towards your lower back, but he saw it was like the shape of the moon when crecent. Your shirt promptly covered it before he could reach out to touch it. He watched you scurry around your residence while he pondered about that mark.

"I gotta go, thanks for stopping by Khonshu!" You gave him a quick wave and briskly left the apartment, he could hear the locks click and your footsteps get quieter and quieter until there was silence.

"Interesting." The God pondered. He'd have to get a look at what seemed like a birthmark later. For now, he was going to keep an eye on his avatar.
