Chapter Eight

(First Person y/n POV)

I was standing on a roof.

"Woah," I said. "How'd I get here?" I noticed Chat and Ladybug standing nearby and Alya and Nino sitting. "How'd you guys get here?"

Alya and Nino looked embarrassed. "We were akumatisted."

After they explained the story to us, Alya said something I couldn't believe.

"And then you and Chat Noir kissed."

"What?!" me, Ladybug, and Chat said at the same time. Ladybug looked shocked and utterly confused. Chat looked extremely happy. I was just blushing.

Alya showed me the picture on her phone.

"Oh my gosh, we actually kissed," I said.

Chat put his arm around my shoulders. "We look pretty happy there, don't ya think?"

"I guess," I said, looking away to hide my blush.

(Time skip to the next school day)

I walked into the school. I was finally going to confront Adrien about the Chat Noir thing.

I noticed him and Nino talking and I went up to them.

"Adrien," I said. "I need to talk to you."

Adrien and Nino glanced at each other. "Okay," Adrien said.

I grabbed his arm and pulled him to a private place.

"Alright. Let's get straight to the point," I said. Adrien looked a bit scared. "You're Chat Noir, aren't you?"

Adrien's eyes widened. He hesitated before saying, "No."

"I know you are and I know you know who I am," I said.

"Fine," Adrien admitted. "I am Chat Noir."

I opened my mouth to say something, but a voice cut me off.

"Adrikins!" a girl yelled. Chloe came skipping into view.

"Hi Chloe," Adrien said.

"What are you doing hanging out with her?" Chloe asked rudely.

"Chloe, don't make me beat you up again," I said.

"You'll get punished," Chloe reminded me

"I doubt that," I said, remembering the way Mr. Damocles looked after last talking to my parents.

Chloe rolled her eyes. "Whatever." She left.

"Let's go to class," I said after a long silence.

Me and Adrien started to go towards Ms. Bustier's classroom. On our way, I bumped into someone. I had never seen them before so I simply said, "Sorry."

Adrien stared at the girl and she stared back. Her stare was far more menacing than his.

"Do you know each other?" I asked.

"We're friends," Adrien said at the same time the girl said, "We broke up."

"Oh," I said. "Good to meet you." I held my hand out. "I'm y/n."

"Kagami," the girl said, however she didn't shake my hand. "Goodbye." She gave me an incredibly fake-looking smile, then turned and left.

Once she was out of hearing range, I whispered, "You dated her?" to Adrien.

Adrien nodded. "Until she broke up with me."

I frowned. "How long ago?"

"Three or four months. Just before you moved here," Adrien said.

The bell rang, alerting us that class was starting in five minutes.

(Time skip to lunch)

I sat down next to Adrien who was sitting next to Nino. Across from us were Marinette and Alya.

"Did you hear about the kiss between Chat Noir and Scarletta?" Alya asked. "I got a picture on my phone."

"I heard about that," I said. "But I didn't see it." Technically the truth. My memories were wiped after kissing Chat Noir, so I didn't actually remember seeing it.

"Same here," Marinette agreed.

Adrien smiled. "I think Chat Noir and Scarletta make a great couple. Don't you, y/n?"

I looked away so Adrien couldn't see my blush. I found myself doing this a lot. "Maybe," I said.

Marinette laughed. "So do I," she smiled.

"Of course you do," I said, looking at Marinette. I rolled my eyes.

"Same here," Alya said. "They're so cute."

"For sure, dudes!" Nino said.

"Y/n, why are you blushing?" Alya asked.

Marinette and Adrien both laughed at this. They both looked at each other. "Why are you laughing?" they asked each other at the same time.

"You guys are weird," I said.

"I agree," Alya rolled her eyes.

"At least I'm not the one with a crush on Chat Noir!" Marinette said, while continuing to laugh at the same time.

"I don't have a crush on Chat Noir!" I said.

"You started blushing again," Alya let me know.

Nino smiled. "It's all cool, dudette. We won't judge your taste."

"Thank you, Nino," I said. "You're a lot kinder than some people I know." I punched Adrien's shoulder to keep him from laughing anymore.

"Ow!" Adrien rubbed his shoulder. "What was that for?"

"Being annoying," I told him.

"Am I the only one who's super confused?" Alya asked.

"Me too, dudette. I still want to support my friends though," Nino said.

Marinette smiled at me. "I'm sure Chat Noir would like you too."

I looked at Adrien. "What do you think?" I asked.

Now it was Adrien's turn to blush. He waited a minute before saying, "Yeah, I think he would."

"Really?" I asked. "Do you mean that?"

Adrien scratched the back of his neck.

"Okay, now I'm super confused," Alya told us. "Did I miss something?"

"I'm wondering the same thing," Marinette said.

I was too busy staring into Adrien's beautiful green eyes to answer. He stared back into my e/c ones.

I heard a scream. "Someone got akumatised!"

"Who?" another person yelled.

"It was actually two people! Lila and Chloe!"

"Oh no!"

I grabbed Adrien's hand. "We have to go!" I said.

"Together?" Nino asked. "Dude, dudette we need to leave. Someone was akumatised."

"I'll explain later," I promised. I would have to think up a lie to tell my friends.

Me and Adrien ran into a classroom. When we left, we came face to face with the akumatisted Chloe and Lila.
