chapter five:
reality bites me

The inside of the bedroom was coated in many photos, each single one hung along the walls with care. In the depth of room laid a pile of photos.

One that did not have the honor of being beside the others on the wall. They laid face down a hum entered throughout the air as the door opened.

Charlie's arms wrapped around Jason eagerly as she kissed him. His hands running throughout her hair as she pushed the door closed behind him.

Along the girls living room the girls all laid down a movie playing along the television. Alison was the only one who remained awake.

Charlie claimed she had to pee real quick, unknown to Alison her brother was upstairs with Charlie's brother. He often came over whenever Charlie was around, the urge to see her was strong.

Charlie's brother slept on his bed heavy snores leaving his lips. He was slightly drunk, having spent his entire day shouting with his girlfriend.

It ended with her breaking up with him and smashing his car windows. So he was glad Jason took the time to come over and help him.

Even if it meant giving him alcohol after alcohol until he passed out. The moment his eyes slammed shut and he began snoring Jason left the room.

Charlie happened to have appeared at the top of the stairs. The duo burst into her room tearing away at each other's clothes as they tried to stay silent.

In the living room Alison stood up walking up the stairs making sure Charlie didn't pass out in her room. She often claimed she had to pee just so she could go into her room and sleep.

Charlie pushed the books off her bed not caring if they made a loud noise. Jason hovered over her his lips not leaving hers once.

The knock on the door made her push him off of her, "Charlie did you fall asleep?". Alisons voice was loud making Charlie sit up slightly.

After a moment the girl walked off and Charlie looked at Jason. She couldn't help but laugh as he smiled down at her.

"That was close, I thought she was gonna find out about us for a second". Jason sat beside Charlie "she's not gonna find out, we've kept it secret for a year, and she's never once noticed".

Charlie leaned into him sighing deeply "I wish we didn't have to hide all the time, Alison would freak out if she found out about us. My annoying brother would kill us both if he found out".

He pushed her hair away from her face "Charlotte" she leaned into him "Jason". They kissed unknown of the person watching them outside.

Charlie threw away her coffee cup walking outside with Hanna. "I gotta get home, my moms been calling me like crazy".

Hanna smiled sadly "maybe we can hang out again later? I can come over and we can watch movies". Charlie huffed "I wish you could, but mums home for the night and she hates when I have people over".

"Maybe tomorrow then" Charlie nodded "definitely, I'll even pick out some scary movies". She walked down the sidewalk Hanna laughing slightly.

Charlie walked inside her home entering her room throwing her bag on her bed. She gasped slightly when someone grabbed her.

"Jesus! You scared me Jason!" she turned punching his shoulder making him wince. "Your window was unlocked, you really should lock it".

She rolled her eyes nearing her window and locking it before turning. "Just because it's unlocked doesn't mean you can just come inside".

He grinned at her "you used to love whenever I came over through your window". She sat down on her bed "well after everything that happened I assumed you didn't wanna come back".

He sat down beside her "oh that's all in the past, besides Allison's not here to bother us anymore". She leaned into him "my idiot brother ran off because of us".

"He's the one who decided to run off, had it coming after what he did to us". She laughed lightly as she stood up from her bed.

"What was with the scene at the coffee shop? Were you trying to make Hanna jealous or something". He laughed as he stood up "no, I just missed you".

He wrapped his arms around her "we're technically still boyfriend and girlfriend, kinda lame you slept with her of all people".

She rolled her eyes "you ran off, and last I recalled when someone doesn't call for a year that means the relationship is over".

"Well I'm back now, and I got you a surprise" he walked towards her closet pushing it open and grabbing hold of a box.

"For your information I really like Hanna, you made her pretty upset today at the coffee shop".

He handed her the box "you can date her if you want, I'm not gonna hold you back Charlie, I mean we've both moved on". Charlie smiled as she grabbed hold of the stuffed bear "I thought I lost this bear".

"I found it after many months of searching for it, patched it up myself and everything". She held onto it tightly as she looked at Jason.

"Did you come back just to give me this?" he nodded as she leaned into his hug. "You seemed sad at the funeral, I hated seeing you like that, so I made it my mission to get this bear".

She stood on the tip of her toes kissing him he hummed against her lips as he grabbed hold of her. She moved back slightly "I hate you".

He looked at her "I know" she kissed him again closing her eyes as he held onto her.

Hanna walked down the sidewalk nearing her home, her phone dinged making her grab it.

Looks like Charlie moved on fast, guess you're out of the picture again—A

Hanna frowned deeply at the words on her screen, she turned walking towards Charlie's house. Her mothers car was absent and the lights in the home were off.

She looked up Charlie's curtains open her bedroom light still on. She didn't see anything at first. Then Charlie neared the window, she held onto a bear.

She laughed lightly when someone grabbed hold of her from behind. Hanna smiled sadly as she walked away from the house.

an: don't even worry, her and Jason will part ways from here. She was just sad and needed to not feel so shitty, and he was there.
