Outside Barry Allen's childhood home

As the man in yellow held Matt up, preparing to finish him off, he was suddenly hit in the back by Barry, who then delivered a series of punches that sent the man careening into a car across the street, knocking him out.

Flash: "That's enough, Thawne."

Helping Matt up, Barry asked Matt, "Hey kid, you alright?"

Matt: "Yeah, but hold on. You don't know who I am?"

Flash: "I don't know. Should I?"

Matt: "Yeah, I'm Matt. You're my-"

Flash: "Hold on. Since you know me but I don't know you, that would mean you come from a time further into my future right? I don't want to risk messing up the timeline."

Matt: "But that's the thing...in my time you're gone. You disappear without a trace in a huge planet-wide Crisis,  and I left to try to find you, but I ended up here. And...it looks like you're not my Barry after all."

Flash: "Well, do you know why I left? Maybe that could be a clue."

Matt: shakes head "No. What I do know is that immediately after you vanished, this giant gray guy showed up, almost killed Superman, and destroyed the entire Earth. I wanted your help to fix it. I NEED your help to fix it. Do you have any idea how?"

Flash: "Hmm. Well usually I would travel back in time to before they would attack and warn my allies. But if what you're telling me is true, and this guy almost killed Superman, then I won't be much help in a fight. You're going to want to go to another Earth and find people stronger and smarter than me."

Matt: Wait, wait, you're saying there are multiple Earths? How do I even go to a different Earth?

Flash: Yes, and you're going to need to find enough people strong enough to take on this guy. Now, to get to another Earth, what I do is I focus my speed and kinetic energy into a single point, and use that speed to punch open a hole in space-time. That usually leads me to another Earth.

Matt: But how will I know who I'm looking for? How will I know I've found the right place?

Flash: "Hmm. Okay, just try and picture in your mind the kind of person you need, and then do the thing I told you. Concentrate your speed into a single point to punch your way to another Earth. After that, I'd suggest exploring a bit. That's how I met most of my other powered friends, including Superman."

Matt: taking a mental note of this information "Okay. Thanks. So I guess that's me sorted out. Uh, what will you do?"

Flash: "Oh, I need to take Thawne back to his own time. Which reminds me, I should check on my mom and my younger self."

Matt: "Okay. Do you want any help? I kind of left your younger self next to the road a good distance away and told him to get help."

Flash: "Ah, I see. No thanks, that shouldn't be too hard. I'll check in on him in a second once we're done with our conversation."

Matt: "Alright then. Thank you. It was good seeing you again, Barry."

Flash: "And it was nice meeting you, Matt. Thanks for the help with Thawne."

And with that, as the Flash sped off to check on his family from another time, so too did his future ally, speeding off to find allies of his own.

As he ran, Matt tried to think about what Barry said. "Focus on what kind of person you want to see, and then use your speed to open a portal to them."

So he did just that, closing his eyes and focusing on someone who could help him stop that armored man. The one who was responsible for so much destruction in his time. He wondered if anyone on an alternate Earth knew who this armored fellow was.
