As soon as I got back to the apartment I couldn't wait to spew all the information that I had just learned to Em.
"Wait, pause for a min' stine as in geeky 'Einstein' " Em looked shocked as she vigorously devoured her sandwich. This girl could eat, I swear she's the reason I had groceries stocked.
"Yup," I said popping the 'p' in my sentence as I sat on the kitchen stool.
"That must've weird....and awkward," she said with food in her mouth with caused me to grimace.
"More weird than awkward," I said, reaching out in the counter and grabbing her napkin which she took.
"Did you have fun though? " she asked finishing her sandwich and placing her plate in the sink as I leaned over the counter.
"It wasn't the best date on earth, "I said as I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Is that why you came back early?" She said wiping her hands.
"No Jake showed up and things took a turn I felt uncomfortable so I left" I sighed.
"Just like always Jake has to ruin everything, I just sometimes wish I could punch him in the neck, but most of the time I just wish I'd never met him, "I said frustrated.
I took a deep and carried on, "Its like I'm supposed to hate him and I do but I find myself wishing that I still belonged to him you know, it was his decision to get the divorce and yet he keeps showing up and acting like we are on a friendly basis, I just want it all to stop"I sighed and rubbed my eyes to stop my self from crying.
I was done, I had to move on.
But why was it so hard to do.
Emery looked at me sympathetically and came over to my side and pulled me in for a hug and when she pulled away she smiled weakly.
"What?"I said softly.
"You just never talk about your feelings out loud a lot " she rubbed my shoulder "it's nice to know what going through your head sometimes"I smiled weakly.
"I'm always here for you " she reassured me.
"I know" I smiled at her weakly
The rest of the night we decided to watch movies and eat popcorn until Emery started to doze off and we decided to call it a night and go to sleep.
I went up to my room and changed into a tank top and a pair of sleeping shorts and put my bonnet on and as I got into the covers my phone beeped and I grabbed it and checked who it was, it was a text message from an unknown number.

unknown: You left so abrptly..didnt get a kiss goodbye :)

Me: I don't remember giving you my number, and I dont kiss on the first date o_0

Kon: Well I did have your phone.....and i thought it wasn't a date?

Me:it wasn't ...now goodnight

Kon: no hold on....

Me: What!

Kon: if it makes you any feel better, i don't count it as date, when i take you out properly the night will end at my place ;-)

Me:.ughhh....it doesn't make me feel anything because it wasn't a date... go to bed :/

Kon:Its almost midnight and I'm laying in the dark texting you. you think I'm worried about my spelling.oh and I have my sources.

Well. Looks likes he's not leaving me alone any time soon. And somehow I find myself smiling .
