The loud music from the band started blasting loudly onto the whole arena and people started going even wilder, jumping and singing along.
Felix began singing loudly at the band's song as well; not once did his eyes left a certain guitarist for a single second.
Hyunjin was laughing and smiling widely while he played his guitar passionately with sweat sexily dripping down his forehead and neck, making a puddle on his expensive shirt.
"Hyunjin-ssi, you did a good job!" A girl greeted happily as she waited for Hyunjin on the back stage of a pub where the lad performed.
"Thank you, Ms. Jiang." The lad said politely as he put his guitar on its case.
"You're sweating so much, here let me help you wipe it off." The woman offered, extending a handkerchief on his face but Hyunjin stepped back to avoid the contact as he roam his eyes around the room, seemingly looking for someone.
His eyes twinkled and a smile tugged at his beautiful lips as his gaze landed on Felix who had been standing at the far side of the room, waiting for Hyunjin with a bottle of water and a bag containing the lad's change of clothes.
"Thank you so much, but my boyfriend won't be too happy about that. If you'll excuse me." Hyunjin left the woman with her face flaming red.
Felix smiled as Hyunjin made haste to get to him with huge strides, enveloping his small frame as soon as he got closer.
Felix nuzzled his nose on the lad's neck, not minding the sweat. His lover still smells good even sweaty, it's unreal.
"You did great on tonight's performance, love. I gained even more competition, thanks to your handsome smile." Felix sulked playfully.
Hyunjin chuckled as he pulled Felix away lightly, cupping his freckled cheeks in both hands and kisses his nose.
"There's no competition, baby. You've already won me over since the first day I saw you playing with a stray kitten, seven years ago." Hyunjin reassured him.
Felix hummed, "I know you love me so much." He teased, smiling foolishly.
"I do, babe. So much so." Hyunjin agreed.
Felix's heart stopped beating for a second as he saw Hyunjin get closer to the edge of the stage where he is. The lad's eyes roamed around the crowd and Felix panicked momentarily and made haste to cover his face vainly with his light stick.
The whole arena was dark with the light's only source being the stage lights, a faint glimmer coming from the big screens and the small flicker of lights from the fans' light sticks that looks like a thousand twinkling stars in a night sky.
With that and a little reminder of, It's been four years, Felix. He's already forgotten about you. Even if he did see you, he won't recognize you. He lowered the object from his face and saw Hyunjin back on his original place in the middle of the stage.
He sighed in relief.
Hyunjin's eyes are still roaming on his side of the crowd, but he knows he'll never find him there. He's just one of the blurred faces who supports him from afar now, after all. He's now just a part of Hyunjin's unimportant past. A stranger holding the same fragments of memories.
This is the closest I can be to you.
Felix went back to waving and singing along freely with his newly found resolve.
Everything went smoothly as time passed, he came laughing along with the group's silly antics as they play around on the stage, teasing each other or tackling one another.
Everything was fine...
Until Bang Chan, the leader spoke to the microphone, disclosing some information about their last song. "This song, our last song for this tour is... not really a new song. It was written for someone so dear to us a long time ago. A friend who's always been there for us from the very beginning of us forming the band, to our first gig, to our training up to our debut. They have always been there for us and I know, even if we don't talk as much anymore, they're still supporting us in every little way that they can because that's just the kind of person our little sunshine is. And this song was actually written by our Hyunjinnie here being the closest person to that person," Bang Chan then went to the guitarist and sling his arm to the lad's shoulder with great difficulty, as he hold out the microphone in front of him, "Any word you wanna say to our little fairy, Jin?"
"Uhm.." Hyunjin trailed, clearing his throat, making the little fairy's heart skip a beat.
