Day 02

At some point, I guess my eyes started getting really heavy. I fell asleep, and woke up to darkness. The lightbulb was no longer on; there was nothing there but black.

"Hope you had a nice sleep," a rough voice said in the darkness. In my drowsiness I still began to panic.

"You won't be getting much more."

A hand wrapped around my left ankle and yanked me hard, making me realize I was no longer tied up. I yelped and the back of my head banged against the seat of the chair. I was dragged against the concrete floor by the strong hands as I started yelling.

Shut up, don't scream.

I stopped and the hands let go. It was still pitch dark, so all I knew was that I was lying on a cold, damp concrete floor. Suddenly I was yanked by my arms to my feet.

Then I heard a sound even more horrifying than the girl screaming the day before.

It was a chainsaw.

I gasped and flung myself to the left, the opposite way that the sound came from. Blindly I shuffled as fast as I could, away from the sound of the toothed machine coming for me.

"Where are you, princess?"

The voice sounded familiar. It was one of the proxies I'd already heard.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are," he sang, and the noise drew closer. The only thing I could think to do was crouch. No way he could see me in the dark, and at least if he swung, it would be higher than I actually was.

I crawled as fast as I could, away from him. But I ended up at a wall. A corner. I was stuck in a corner. Overhead, a light suddenly flicked on, causing me to squint my eyes shut. I opened them just in time to see Masky there, hovering over me with the growling weapon, ready to tear me into shreds.

A scream erupted from my throat. He reared the chainsaw up and swung down hard, then everything went completely black.

|day 03|

I woke up with another slight headache. This time I was in my concrete cell, unbound sprawled on the floor. I sat up.

Lying next to me was a bottle of water, which reminded me for the first time how thirsty I was. I eagerly drank half of it, deciding to save the rest for later.

This should be enough to sustain me for a little while, I thought. I'm pretty sure you can only go a few days without water. At least is isn't hot down here.

I leaned back against the wall and starred at the ceiling. The chainsaw attack was only my first encounter with the horrors that were to come.
