When Carina woke up, she was confused.
Maya was sleeping beside her.
Sitting up, Carina looks down at the sleeping blonde and smiles softly.
Maya shifted in her sleep.
Laying back down, Carina curled into Maya's side.
Maya twitched, groaning. She was having a nightmare.
Frowning, Carina ran a hand through Maya's hair. "I am here bella." She whispered softly.
Maya hummed, scrunching her face up, she whimpered and shifted in her sleep.
"Shh, I am here." Carina coos softly.
Maya suddenly woke up with a start, sitting bolt upright on the bed.
Sitting up with her, Carina holds her close. "Shhh."
Maya was panting. She was covered in sweat.
"I've got you bella." Carina coos softly.
Maya burst into tears, bringing her knees up to her chest and burying her face in them as she sobbed.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Carina asked softly.
Maya shook her head as she sobbed.
Pulling her closer, Carina kisses the top of her head. "Okay."
Maya turned slightly and curled into Carina.
Shifting them, Carina lays back down and just rubs Maya's back.
Maya forced herself to calm down. She wiped her eyes and dropped her hands to her side.
The brunette smiles softly and pulls her closer. "I've got you."
Maya didn't respond, staring blankly at the wall.
"Do you want breakfast?" Carina asks softly.
Maya shook her head, she didn't feel hungry.
Sighing softly, Carina just pulled her even closer.
Maya sighed deeply.
"I've got you bella." Carina said softly, rubbing her back.
Maya stared at the wall.
"Will you talk to me?" Carina asks softly.
Maya sat up slowly and looked at Carina.
The brunette shifts so she can face Maya completely.
Maya kissed Carina's cheek.
Reaching out, Carina gently caresses Maya's cheek.
Maya leaned into Carina's touch.
"I love you." Carina whispers softly.
"I love you too." Maya said.
The brunette smiles softly and leans their foreheads together.
"I'm sorry for waking you up." Maya said.
Carina instantly shakes her head. "You did not wake me up bella."
"I didn't?" Maya said.
The brunette smiles softly. "No, I was already awake."
Maya looked at Carina.
"I promise bella." Carina says instantly.
Maya nodded slowly.
Shifting, Carina leans in and gently kisses her.
