Twelve

"Took you guys long enough." Andy teases when Maya opens the door.

"We were busy." Maya said.

Carina clears her throat and nudges Maya. "We took a shower."

Maya turned her head to look at Carina.

Jack clears his throat, grunting when Andy elbows him.

Maya stepped back to let her team into her house.

Carina shakes her head at Jack as he passes her.

Maya looked between Carina, Andy and Jack. "What's going on?" She asked.

"Nothing." Jack responds with a shrug.

"It's not nothing you three are being weird about something." Maya said.

Andy laughs and shakes her head. "Not being weird Maya, these two are somehow becoming friends."

Maya frowned slightly. "Oh."

Carina bites her lip and shrugs. "He's grown on me."

Maya only gave a small nod.

Jack scratches the back of his head. "So, how are you?" he asks looking at Maya.

"My head hurts but not as much as it did right after what happened." Maya said.

"That's uh, that's good right?" Jack asks, slightly unsure.

"I guess." Maya said with a shrug.

Carina smiles as she watches their interaction.

Maya closed the door front door after Travis, Ben, and Vic entered.

"Hey cap, have fun?" Vic asks teasingly.

Maya rolled her eyes.

Jack laughs as Carina nudges him.

Maya sent a glare in Jack's direction.

Neither Jack or Carina noticed the glare as they continued joking around and talking.

Maya moved away from the door and over to the couch. She sat down.

"Your jealousy is showing." Andy says as she joins the blonde.

"Jealous? I don't get jealous." Maya said.

Andy laughs and shakes her head. "Yeah, sure. Maya you've been glaring at Jack this whole time."

Maya sighed deeply. Carina's laugh catches her attention and she looks over to see Jack and her joking around.

"Anyone want anything to drink?" Maya asked, standing up.

"I'll take a beer if you have any." Miller says, leaning back in his chair.

Maya nodded. "Anyone else?" She asked.

"I'll take a water." Travis responds.

Maya nodded. She looked at Andy and Vic.

"Beer." Both girls say simultaneously.

Maya nodded. She looked at Jack. "Anything for you?"

"A beer is fine." Jack responds before going back to his exaggerated story he was telling Carina who was laughing.

Maya nodded and made her way into the kitchen where she gathered everyone's drinks.

It was after everyone left, that Carina wrapped her arms around Maya. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing." Maya said, leaning back into Carina's arms and closing her eyes.

"Then why were you glaring at Jack almost the entire time?" Carina asks, running her hands along Maya's hips.

"I wasn't glaring at Jack." Maya said.

Chuckling, Carina kisses her shoulder. "You were."

Maya turned her head to look at Carina. "Okay. I was a little jealous."

"Why?" Carina asks softly.

"I don't know." Maya admitted.

Leaning down, Carina kisses her gently.

Maya kissed her back.

After a few minutes, Carina pulls away. "There's nothing to be jealous of, Jack and I are just friends."

"I know. I was just being stupid. I trust and love you with my entire heart," Maya said.

Smiling softly, Carina kisses her again.
