"You are kidding me? I got summoned for this?"
Mingi smiled.
"Yeah! No one wants to help me complete it but you have to."
Seongwha glared at the demon.
"You better make sure he enjoys every single minute of this. I don't care how much you hate Super Mario Oddyssey, you will help him one hundred percent complete that game or I will smite you where you stand."
"Fine, I'll help him complete it. How hard could it be?"

As it turned out, it would be very hard. Mingi didn't want any magical assistance from the demon. No cheating or glitches, everything had to be done how the game intended.
"You realise I've spent the last fifty years in hell so I've never played video games right?"
"Yeah, I know."
Y/n sighed.
"So you understand that I don't know what I'm doing and it would be so much easier if you let me cheat?"
"No cheating! I got as far as I did using skill and gaming ability and I'm not letting you ruin that."
From the other couch, Y/n heard two of Mingi's friends laugh.
"This is gonna be so fun to watch."
One of them said.
"I almost feel bad for the guy. Imagine getting summoned from hell for some human to ask you to help get all the power moons with him."
The other chimed in.
"You know, I might be able to focus more if you kick your friends out of the room."
Y/n glared at the two.
"You heard what Seongwha said. 'San, you and Wooyoung keep an eye on that disgusting creature so I don't have to look at him any longer'."
The two laughed again and continued to watch what would be hours of suffering.

By the time they only had one power moon left to get, Y/n had become acquainted with all of Mingi's friends. He knew who Seongwha and Hongjoong were after the holy water incident. Yunho was the strangely cute werewolf. San and Wooyoung were the succubus and ghost that kept laughing at his struggling. Yeosang was the oddly quiet siren who stared at his phone most of the time he was forced to watch the two and Jongho was the least intimidating vampire he'd ever seen.

He didn't mind Yunho and Jongho. The two made friendly conversation with him and actually offered advice on how to play. Neither of them seemed to have too much of an issue with him. In fact, no one really had an issue with him apart from Seongwha. That was to be expected though, the angel demon rivalry had been going on since the beginning of hells existence.

Eventually, he helped Mingi complete the game and he sighed with relief.
"Thank you so much! I've been trying to do this for months."
Mingi hugged the demon, something that surprised him but he figured the guy was just very affectionate. It was actually a pleasant experience and more enjoyable than expected.
"You know, this was nice. I much prefer doing stuff like this to the whole 'I want you to kill my husbands mistress' sort of stuff. The amount of affairs I've had to sort out is very concerning."
Y/n smiled at the human.
"Well I'm glad I could do something different. Sorry for accidentally summoning you."
He laughed sheepishly.
"It's okay. Sometimes it's nice to have a relaxing task to complete."
"It didn't look relaxing to me. If you gripped that controller any harder you would've broken it."
San laughed as he entered the room, followed shortly by Wooyoung.
"Seongwha said dinner is ready so you should probably get in there."

"This food is so good! I haven't had a meal like this in centuries."
Y/n complimented the cooking, though the chef said nothing.
"I'm sure Seongwha appreciates the compliment, don't you?"
Hongjoong nudged the angels side and, through gritted teeth, he replied.
"I'm glad you like it. The sooner I can get you out of here, the better."
Y/n laughed.
"Well I think I'm probably done. Thank you for the meal. If I'm ever about I'll make sure to stop by for more dumplings."
"Try that and you'll be sent to purgatory."

"It was nice meeting you all, if you ever need a demon to help you out, you know how to summon me."
"Thank you for helping me!"
Mingi smiled at him. Everyone gathered round as Hongjoong said the returning spell. He spoke the Latin perfectly but...
Y/n didn't disappear. He tried again. Still nothing.
"That's odd. Maybe Mingi has to do it."
He handed the book to Mingi, pointing to the lines that needed reading. He spoken in the same, mispronounced Latin as before and just like that, Y/n was gone.

No one thought anything of it after that. It was nothing more than a funny memory of when Mingi accidentally performed magic. That was until about a year later when someone turned up on their doorstep, asking for help.
"Oh my father! Joong, I need the first aid kit and your spell book. Now!"
