"How does the defendant plead on the sole count of the indictment: Attempted Murder in the Second Degree?"

"Not guilty, Your Honor."

"Bail, Mr. Carisi?"

"The People request remand, Your Honor."

"That's punitive, Your Honor. The People's case is weak."

"Weak? The victim barely had an inch of unbruised skin when she left the defendant." He said, holding pictures up.

Carisi put them down.

"The pictures fully corroborate her story."

"Which story? The one she spun out of domestic violence after admitting of attacking her husband or the tale of the big bad husband she snookered Lieutenant Robinson with?"

"This is what a Grand Jury is for, Mr. Langan. To sort these kind of things out. However I'll set bail at $50,000."

"Thank you, Your Honor. I'll post it immediately."

"Carisi." Jim called, standing up.

He walked over to him.

Jim whispered something to Carisi.

"We also request the defendant surrender his firearms to the Boston PD."

"Your Honor, I have a second amendment right to bear arms." I invoked the second amendment.

"I'll sleep better knowing they're in a gun safe in the Precinct."

I rolled my eyes.

"You'll turn them in."

"Then the People request an order of protection, barring the defendant from any contact with the victim."

"Order of protection is granted for 60 days. The order will be extended if need be."

"Thank you, Your Honor."

Carisi walked out.

I paid the $50,000 to get the hell out of Jail.

They don't react well to Inmates who abuse their Wife.
