Just laying his eyes on her triggered emotions Patrick had never felt before. Just seeing her once more justified his break up with Melanie.

When Ella had spatted out "What do you want?" Patrick wasn't sure how to respond. How couldn't just tell her that he was madly in life with her and for the past few nights she's consumed all his thoughts. He couldn't scare her away.

"I just want to talk" Patrick gulps hard. His lips chapped, mouth dry, his hands suddenly sweaty and he's award of how red he must be turning. Patrick never imagined it would be this hard, he never ever had trouble taking to women.

"Shouldn't you be talking to your girlfriend?" Ella hissed, her hazel eyes now a cold shade of brown.

"Please sit so we can talk" Patrick manages to say. With an eye roll Ella pulls out the chair from across Patrick and sits.

Her hair is tied back, and gray zip up hoodie is hiding her pink sports bra. Black Capri leggings and Nike sneaker, Patrick knew she was fresh out of hockey practice.

"What do you want to talk about?" She questions, obviously annoyed with Patrick's silence.

"I broke up with Melanie" Patrick confesses

"Who?"

"My girlfriend-"

"Listen Kane, I don't know what your after here but I want no part in it or anything to do with you" Ella says as she gets up and pushes her chair in.

"Ella wait!" Patrick calls to her as she's exiting the coffee house.

"Leave me alone you creep!" She yells back before slamming the door closed behind her.

Defeated, Patrick falls back into his seat. He throws his head back, hitting it on the wall behind him. What was he to
do? Patrick was in a slump, he didn't know what he was going to do about Ella. Digging his hand deep into his pocket and pulls out the keys to his hummer. He struts out of the coffee house and into his car. Patrick turns the heat up before resting his head on the steering wheel for a few seconds.

Patrick had never been this stressed over a girl.

Patrick shakes everything off and begins the drive to Jon's house, he desperately needed to talk to him. He desperately needed advice on something that was way beyond him. Parking his truck in the parking garage, Patrick patiently waits for Jon to buzz him in. When the elevator finally opens Patrick gets in and franticly pushes Jon's penthouse number.

Standing in the doorway of his penthouse was a groggy Jon. At just nine thirty the blackhawk's captain was sound asleep before a game day. But half awake in his sweatpants and black tshirt he waited to see what his curly blonde haired friend wanted.

"Thank you Jon" Patrick says to him, he knew how strict Jonathan was with his sleeping schedule.

"Come in" The dark haired boy says. The two men make their way to the dining room table where a dimmed light is just hanging right above the center of the table providing a little light.

"What's wrong Patrick?" Jonathan asks

"Ella" Patrick says in a whisper as if it's wrong to even just say her name.

"This again?" Jonathan shakes his head

"I tried to talk to her, when she saw me with Melanie it ruined everything" Patrick sigs, he's more than frustrated.

"I'd imagine it would" Jon says "She thinks you're a cheater, I wouldn't want anything to do with you either" Jon confesses

"But I'm not! You know I would I never do anything like that to Mel.. She was to good for me"

"I'll go talk to her before tomorrows game, you need piece of mind before our road trip" Jonathan says.

"You'd do that?" Patricks blue eyes grow in disbelief

"I don't need this affecting your play, i'll see what I can do" Jonathan smiles. Patrick hugs him from across the table before showing himself out.

Patrick knew he could finally rest easy.
