There she was. Her eyes glistened as they looked up at Patrick. Her long brown hair tied back neatly, Pat could only imagine how beautiful it would look down.
Stop
What was he thinking? He only knew her last name and he was having thoughts about her... besides Pat had a girlfriend.
"Thanks for the battle out there" She said softly, her voice angelic.
"You're one hell of a player" Patrick compliments her.
"Thank you, means a lot coming for a guy like you"
"I'll see you around -"
"Ella, Ella Brooks" She said confidently. "I would shake your hand but I'm a little tied" Patrick than realizes the hockey bag that he was oblivious to.
"Let me help" Patrick don't give her much of a choice because as he says the words Patrick takes the heavy bag from her hand. She leads him to the car were he place the bag in the back seat.
"Ella" The voice rolls off so softly, like Patrick is meant to say it a million times over.
"Would you like to come to the Hawks game tonight?" Patrick questions abruptly.
"I wish I could, I've got so much studying to do" She shakes her head in dismay.
"Maybe tomorrow?"
"I could do that" Her face brightens
"Can I drop off a ticket tomorrow?" Pat asks
"Sure" She half smiles before turning to her car and opening the side door. She than opens the glove compartment and takes a pen and napkin. Quickly she scribbles the address before handing it to him.
"I'll see you tomorrow" With that she gets into the car and leaves him in the parking lot speechless. Her moves were so sophisticated, she was so confident. And she, she was stunning.
"Ella" Patrick said to himself
Ella
He returned home that afternoon for a nap, that's all Pat wanted, an hour long pregame nap. When he unlocked the door Melanie, his girlfriend, was sitting at the counter of the condo. Patrick was praying she wouldn't be here. As much as he liked her, there were times where I wished she wasn't here all the time. It's partly why he refuses to move in with her.
"Patrick" She smiled when she saw him. Her arms wrapped around him and her lips pressed hard into Patrick's before she released me. Her hands laid on his pecks as she lovingly looked up into my eyes.
"I'm so glad your home"
"Are you coming to the game tonight?" Patrick questioned, a part of him wished she would say no.
"Of course love, why wouldn't I?" Was her response. She quickly glanced down at her watch "It's your nap time" she gasped "Mind if I take it with you?"
"I uh guess" Patrick mumbles. She trots behind him to the large couch. Patrick lays down on his back and she snuggles into his side, her head resting on his chest. Pulling a wool blanket over the both of them Patrick began to drift off for his nap.
