Chapter 8: Tears

Blood. All Levi Ackerman could see for miles and miles was blood. And Eren, lying flat on his back. Eyes closed and his face pale. He wasn't breathing.
"I'll watch over you, love."

Levi awoke with a start, almost jumping out of bed. This also awoke Eren, and The older male hugged his partner and kissed his neck and shoulders until his lips were almost swollen.

"Another bad dream?"

"I'm so glad you're here and did I mention how much I love you?"
Fresh tears were falling from Levi's eyes, yet he was smiling.

"It's alright, I'm here now."
Eren embraced his companion and they both fell asleep grateful and happy in each other's bare arms.

------------The Next Day-----------
Everyone was in class, as usual. Levi was attempting to teach 8 people and failing miserably. His eyes were fixed on a certain brunette that was staring back.
Natsu and Lucy were officially a couple as of the day after the sleepover. The new lovebirds were currently mouthing words to each other from a few seats away.
Ciel was just taking notes, head resting in his hand. Fun.
Rei was actually attempting to pay attention, he had to pass the class so he could get into his college of choice.
Nagisa was currently occupied with crafting paper airplanes that he would eventually throw across the room at his blue haired friend.
The Hitachiin twins were looking at each other, making fun of Natsu and Lucy with hand gestures and facial expressions.
All was going as it had been for about a week when, to the surprise of everyone, a gunshot was heard. It sounded quite close to the classroom, and everyone quickly slid under their desks for safety, the room had gone quiet.
This was when things would change.

There was a loud banging at the door, however, Levi had locked it while he had the chance.
"OPEN THIS DOOR OR I'LL BREAK IT DOWN AND SHOOT EVERYONE INSIDE."

8 breaths were heard in the dead silence of the room.
16 hands trembling.
All eyes on the door.

The intruder managed to break open the door and pointed his gun at the first person he saw, Natsu. He grabbed the boy by his collar and lifted him up to his feet.
"Each one of you, give me all if your expensive belongings and money. Anything that can be sold wi-"
He was cut off as the pink-haired boy jabbed his fist at the man dressed in all black, his face not seen by a black mask.
"EVERYONE STAND UP AND GET YOUR MONEY." The man pushed past Natsu and grabbed a weaker looking boy- Eren.
"This kid will die unless I get at least 200 bucks."
Everyone in that room was scrambling for all of the cash they had on them, including watches and jewelry. The twins had the most to give.(Mainly Lucy had jewelry xD)
When each person handed the man their was of expensive things, he collected them and shoved each wad down one of his pockets, pulled the trigger, shot 7 bullets at a boy's chest, dropped him, and left.

The entire room froze in horror.

Levi screamed and ran towards a bloody Eren.
Everyone else was either throwing up, sobbing or running to send help.

The world practically froze and everyone else besides Eren didn't matter anymore.

"EREN STAY WITH ME!"
Levi held his bloody companion in his arms, tears falling freely on the boy's chest.

"Levi?"

"Y-yes, my love? Are you alive?"

"Why are you crying?" Eren coughed.

"Don't leave me, you can't."
Levi was still sobbing, doing his best to communicate with the barely conscious boy.
"Levi."

"Levi, look at me."
The man did as he was told and stared into his partner's big, sea-colored eyes. This only made him cry even more.

"Eren, promise me you'll stay alive."

The younger boy was silent, his eyes closing.

"EREN, PLEASE!"
His eyes opened slightly once more.
"I'll watch over you, love."
His eyes stayed slightly open, yet his breathing slowed to a stop just as help arrived.

There was a lot of screaming and sobbing then.

All I have to say now is that his heart never beated again, no matter how hard the doctors tried. He was gone.
