Things did not go back to normal the next day,

He couldn't sleep he kept dreaming about Vee's drenched figure

"are you okay sir" a warm hand was placed on his forehead

He glared at the owner of the hand, but he couldn't once he saw who it was

Warm dark brown eyes peered at him worry evident in them

Brows pulled into a frown

Mark's eyes travelled down from his face

White dress shirt the top buttons were open to reveal his collar bones

a golden necklace was showing

matching golden earrings

he looked more handsome second by second

"sir?" mark pulled himself together

"I'm fine"

Vee just nodded his head clearly not believing mark's answer

"why're you here anyway?"

"You're fiancée is here, she wants me to ask you if you're free to meet her"

Vee tried hard to conceal the hurt he felt,

He wanted nothing more than to leave as soon as possible

"I'm not free now,.....she's your cousin why don't you spend time with her til I'm free"

Vee said nothing, he just bowed and exited the room, mark had his focus on the laptop so he could not see the hurt evident on vee's face

"is he not free?"

"I'm sorry ink, you'll have to spend your time with me"

"I love spending time with P... oh right before I forget here I made lunch for you and p'mark"

She handed a black square lunchbox to Vee

"someone called techno is looking for you, he's waiting down in the lobby "

Vee grabs the lunchbox from ink, he places it in his desk in front of mark's office, and hurries downstairs with ink following suit

Mark notices Vee rushing and decides to follow him to see what would make Vee leave his desk during work hours.

Vee spots the bright red hair in the lobby with ease,

He rushes to his friend, thinking of all possible scenario's that would lead his friend to come to his office

"what happened?" he says as soon as he is in front of techno

"nothing" techno replies looking at vee in confusion

"you look like you ran marathon" he wipes vee's forehead with his sleeve

"I bought you lunch as a thank you for yesterday" he brings forward a disposable container,

Vee smiles fondly at his friend and takes the lunch box

He starts to fuss over techno like a mother hen because it seemed techno hadn't slept again

The two were lost in their own world that they did not realize that the whole office was watching them both

Mark watched this exchange and went back to his office he could feel his heart burn all over again,

Ink was shocked by the scene, her cousin hadn't told her about having a lover

The rest of the office was just shipping, Vee was pretty popular but he barely talked about his personal life

The office group chats were buzzing with excitement on Vee and his so called lover

kengKla had arrived and was waiting for mark in his office when the whole commotion had happened

he saw his friend return

mark banged the door when he entered his office, he couldn't understand why he was getting so mad

kengkla decided to leave to give his friend some space

he overheard the employees talking about Vee and his so called lover

he made his way to the lobby and found vee about to leave the office with a guy

Vee noticed him and bowed

The other guy seemed to have noticed his friend stop and turned back to see kla

Both of them were shocked to see the other

No one said anything the world stopped for techno once again

He could do nothing but look at the person in front of him

Vee just looked between techno and Kengkla

"P..."

Techno pulled out of the trance, ran

He ran as far as he could

Vee followed him after apologizing to kengkla about his friend's rudeness

Techno stopped when he knew he was far away from kla

"Why did you run?" Vee said while panting

Techno said nothing for a while

The light breeze blew as if urging techno to speak up,

"kengkla's my ex, the one I told you about back when we first met"

Vee's eyes widened at the revelation.
