Aspyn's POV (still)

So I start walking to lunch hoping I don't see Kayden on my way. I just thought about my phone not to sound obsessed with it but it feels weird because most days I listen to my music and now I haven't been and it just feels strange.

I get to our table, and we're the only two that sit there because we don't really have any other friends at lunch but Kristina is my only friend anyway so...

"Hey I feel like we haven't talked in ages!" Kristina said a bit too loud for my ears.
"Do you even know when the bitch of the west is going to give you your phone back?"

"No but I hope it's soon. Okay Kristina I have a conflict about something can I get your opinion on it?" I said fairly quickly so I can just tell her.

"Yeah okay, shoot" she said as we were walking up to the lunch line to get our food.

"Okay so you know Kayden Matthews.. Obviously, anyway we keep bumping into each other literally but we did once at the store and he invited me to his party tonight and I'm not sure if I wanna go because.."

"Because what!" She said anxiously.

"He came to my house for a dinner and I didn't know it was gonna be his family and ihadtoservehimhisfood.." I said the last part really fast because I was so embarrassed.

"He saw you! Oh my god. So you don't want to go to the party because you were serving him at a dinner?" She said weirdly trying to study what I had just told her.

"Yeah what if he thinks I'm some peasant girl and kicks me out and then everyone would make fun of me." I said in a sad tone. My eyes were feeling a bit teary but I've learned I don't need to cry it doesn't solve anything.

"Aspyn, you really think he's that much of a jerk. I know you don't particularly like him but if he invited you to his party I'm pretty sure that he wants to see you there. I think you should still go" She had a point but what if she's wrong I don't know.

"Are you gonna go alone?" She looked up at me as if she wanted me to ask her to go with me.

"I don't know I want to think about it but if I get my phone back I'll text you or I'll have someone tell you just don't get your hopes up." I say to her hoping she would understand. We were walking to go dump our trays now and going our separate ways yet again. Im just gonna have to think about what I want to do I don't know right now...

Heyyy I like literally just wrote this in like 20 mins so sorry if it's crappy but rn I'm having SOLS if you don't know they're like finals for us so it's pretty crappy. So yeah I hope you enjoyed!
