Chapter 7

Kayden's POV

"What are you doing here?" I said looking at Aspen wearing some weird outfit I don't really pay attention to.

"I'm serving dinner obviously and I have to get back out there before Taylor gets super pissed" she just walked out and stood there probably looking like an idiot great! I actually went to go look for the bathroom because I didn't want anyone to see me just standing there. I just go in there and look in the mirror Aspyn works for I think she said Taylor... I don't really care she probably just wants money like every other person that knows who they are.

I just don't understand but after sitting in the bathroom thinking about what just happened I went back out to the table and Aspyn wasn't out there. So I just sat there and then Taylor asked me about collage.

"So what are you doing for collage?" She said kind of creepy.

"I'm -" I was cut off by my dad

"He's going to Michigan State for football" he interrupted me and I rolled my eyes because I really don't want to go to Michigan State.
*They live in California*
I just ignored him and nodded along to his theory. Then I saw Aspyn come out and noticed THATS what she was wearing what kinda resembles a maid outfit but it was more modern and some black converse which made me laugh to myself. She looked amazing in it she passed out our food and I just gave her a "thank you" and she just said "your welcome". Then Taylor yelled at her.

"Aspyn don't talk to our guest!" She said and I was about to say something but I could feel my face heating up with anger. I don't know why I just don't wanna see her get yelled at. I held myself together hopefully we wouldn't be here much longer.

She just said "sorry" and walked out of the room and I didn't see her until we were about to leave when she cleaned up the dishes I walked over and pushed her in the kitchen.

"Hey. Sorry about earlier I don't know what I was doing I just didn't expect you to be here. But are we still on for tomorrow?" I felt a real smile creep onto my face and not the fake ones I give girls at school. It felt nice to just look at her then she started talking.

"It's okay I understand and maybe I'm going to try to go
tomorrow." Her voice sounded like... I don't know it was just amazing.

Then I heard my dad call me and I just yelled "coming" and we said bye. I really hope she's able to come tomorrow. I get in the car and all I can think about is how badly Taylor treats her or her I just can't stop thinking about her....
