OC BACKSTORY (Breif Explanation)

Carl Guedj Jr.

Carl, more well known as Junior, was born in Hawkins to two poor, unemployed, assholes, and abusive parents, there is one incident where his dad had punched him so hard he busted Junior's nose. After they would beat him they wouldn't take him to a doctor and he was forced to let it heal and if he wanted it bandaged he would have to do it himself. By the time he was 12 he began going by junior, he didn't like the fact that he had the same name as his dad.

When he was 14 it was really bad. His mom was drunk and when he came home late she had smashed a glass bottle of Whiskey on his head, or tried to. Junior covered his face with his arm but the scars from the glass had cut deep. This was when he ran away.

He stayed outside in a park for a while. When it turned night two boys had seen him, Jonathan Byers and Bartholomew Walter III. They were loners who went to his school, they were in the same English class. Bartholomew had introduced himself as Barry and offered to help him.

Helpless, Junior had agreed. Barry and Jonathan split for the night and Barry took Junior to his house. They cleaned up the blood, took out any small pieces of glass Junior hadn't been able to rip out with his hand. Barry gave him a place to sleep in the guest room and gave him new clothes to change into.

Ever since then they had lived together, Barry's parent's knew and they were fine with it. Barry, Junior and Jonathan were all friend's after that. Although Junior was extremely loud and more the likes of Steve Harrington and Tommy Hagan they had gotten along.

Bartholomew "Barry" Finn Walter III

Unlike Junior, Barry was adopted by rich and supportive parents when he was a baby (He took his dads name. He was adopted because Amelie is infertile). They were nice doctors who met at work, they had a nice house and Barry always wanted to be a doctor like them.

Their life was quite simple for a while. He got good grades, they were healthy, they were active. It was like this until the day he turned 13, he had developed a crush on their best friend, Jonathan Byers. Being gay at the time wasn't accepted. He couldn't tell anyone.

They still hadn't told anyone when he met Junior at age 14. He was out with Jonathan after they were working a night shift at a movie theater. He was hesitant to take Junior into his home but he did anyway and they didn't regret it. Their parent's were fine with it after he had told them and it just stuck.

Jonathan and Carl became friends through their mutual best friend and the three were inseparable.
