Warriors: The star lake fanfiction

Chapter 21

Omni patrolled her assigned area, watching the many leaves fall. Some brown and orange leaves still clung to the trees, but she knew it was only a matter of time before she had to go home. She only needed to wait one and a half moons.
Another moon had passed, and the gathering was normal...kind of.
Swift had asked Albatross if he'd told his warriors to stay away from the Jadepool, which was Apparently where Meadow patrolled, and Albatross said no.
MoonClan left early again, which worried Omni. With her clans, usually that meant war was coming.
MoonClan had more members than DuneClan, but DuneClan's warriors were as strong as two or three MoonClan cats.
Omni made sure to check up on Fox every once in a while during her patrol, just to make sure no Sharptooth's were attacking.

While Omni was checking with Fox, she smelled MoonClan coming this way. Then she heard Tangle screaming for help.
By the look on Fox's face, she knew he'd heard it too. The two of them bolted to where the sound was coming from, but unfortunately they were on the complete opposite side of the border Tangle patrolled. It took them a short while to reach Tangle.
Four MoonClan cats were attacking her, while the others ran past and headed for DuneClan's camp.
To kill Albatross.

Omni ran to Tangle's aid while Fox tried to stop MoonClan from reaching camp. Omni attacked two of the cats on Tangle, headbutting one and pinning the other on her back. She slashed the she-cat's underbelly, the cat underneath letting out cries of pain. Tangle launched herself at the other two cats, biting and scratching ferociously.
The cat Omni headbutted ran back towards her, knocking her down. He scratched her back, leaving scarlet blood running down her sides. Omni struggled to get away.
The Tom turned her over so her underbelly faced him, he brought his claw up to slash her neck. The scar from being cut on the neck by the RiverClan warriors would be reopened if this Tom cut it, and there were no healers in DuneClan.
A black cat dug it's shethed claws into the tom's side before he could cut Omni's throat.
It was Meadow!

Omni pushed herself up, leaving Meadow to deal with the Tom. She was about to launch herself at three elderly warriors, but hesitated. She went for two younger warriors instead, figuring that Fox could stop the elders when they got close enough.
She swiped one's face, knocking her over into an unconscious state. She bit into the other cat's shoulder and locked her jaw. The Tom cried and yanked himself away, tearing some of the fur and skin off his body. He ran away in fear and Omni spat out the loose skin and fur.
She looked back to where Fox was, seeing that he was close to camp with Lite. The two of them were fighting many MoonClan warriors.

Albatross dashed out of the cave, knocking down three warriors.
"Albatross, get back inside! We can't have you die!" Fox yelled.
"Absolutely not! I stand with my warriors." He stated.
Spirit and Yellow had joined the fight. The two of them were surprisingly fierce, despite one being very friendly and the other not seeming wildly keen on fighting.
Four warriors charged at Omni.
StarClan give me strength.
Suddenly feeling more powerful, she pounced on the warriors. She slashed one's neck lightly so he wouldn't die. Another cat jumped on her back and bit her shoulder. She hissed and threw him off with her new strength.
The last cat ran away in fear.

She saw that Albatross was struggling to fight five MoonClan warriors. She charged at the cats on top of him and they toppled down.
Before they could attack either of them, Omni let out a yowel that sounded more like a lion's roar.
The five cats spun the other way and ran.
Slowly, the MoonClan cats all retreated.
Albatross snorted.
Everyone in DuneClan had blood covering them, some of it wasn't their own. DuneClan sat in a circle on the sand outside of the cave.
The cave. It was destroyed. The rocks were out of place, laying on the sand. She could see the dread in everyone's eyes. Their home was destroyed.
"They were trying to chase us to the Sharptooth's region." Albatross stated.
"They charged at us multiple times, they were trying to get us to run away towards the Sharptooth's region. They tried to corner us, so we couldn't escape." He added.
"We need to get to FireClan. They have fresh water, so we can clean our wounds." Omni suggested, remembering when she'd gotten the scar on her snout.

"Oh my! What happened?" Vox ran to the DuneClan cats, who had just walked over to FireClan's camp.
"We were attacked by MoonClan. We request to clean our wounds and perhaps stay with you until we find a new camp." Albatross said.
"Of course. Come, I'll take you to our healer." He briskly walked back to a hollow underneath a tree.
Smart. Vox had a healer, that was useful.
"Lynx, I have cats for you." Vox called.
Lynx ushered out of the hollow, her ears shooting up when she saw DuneClan.
Lynx was the healer.
Omni wasn't sure if she was surprised that DuneClan was there, or about how bad their wounds were.
"Come in, come." She led them into the hollow.
"Is there anything you need!" Vox asked her.
"Can you ask some cats to fetch water to clean the injuries?"
"Of course."

Lynx applied a solution to their wounds, covering them with leaves. She told them to rest, but adrenaline was still pumping through Omni's veins.
Had StarClan really helped her in her fight?
"Hey." Spirit whispered to her, making sure not to wake the others up.
"Yes?"
"You were very brave out there. I was always afraid of fighting when I was younger, I kind of still am. You were absolutely ferocious, I just want you to know that." She said.
"Thank you, Spirit."
