Today was finally the day she would become a warrior. This was the day she'd prepared for her whole life. She shared tongues with her mother, knowing that she would be more independent after she became a warrior. It was likely that she wouldn't see her mother everyday like she used to. Unfortunately, after her exile, nothing would be the same way it was before.
Gingerkit and Spottedkit made their way over to Smokepaw. Smokepaw nuzzled her mother, then walked over to meet them halfway.

"Hello." She greeted.
"Hi, we just wanted to wish you luck. We know You'll make a great warrior." Gingerkit said.
"Thank you. Hey, your apprentice ceremony is coming up soon as well. Are you two excited?" She asked.
"Yes, we're excited to leave camp and explore." Spottedkit purred.
That was exactly what Smokepaw was excited about when she first became an apprentice, becoming independent and exploring. Smokepaw only nodded to the two, they then ran over to the elders' den together.
They reminded her so much of Wrenpaw and herself. The moons they spent listening to the elders' stories as kits.

"Hey, it's almost time. Are you ready." Wrenpaw asked from behind her.
It was still odd seeing Wrenpaw so calm, usually he was all bubbly and clumsy. Clearly he'd learned a thing or two from Hollowfang.
"I'm ready." She stated confidently.
Smokepaw knew that they would never have the same connection again, since Wrenpaw was a little more mature and Smokepaw was wiser. But they were working on getting their bond as strong as it was before, even if it's a different bond then the one they had before.

The two of them waited by the highrock with their tails intertwined. Hoverstar stepped up with Proudstep sitting closest to the highrock.
Hoverstar yowled, signalling to all the cats to come to the highrock. Darkpaw, Spiderclaw and Hollowfang came and sat beside Wrenpaw and herself.
"Wrenpaw, Smokepaw, please step forth." Hoverstar called. Smokepaw and Wrenpaw walked up to the highrock.
"I, Hoverstar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn...Wrenpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" Hoverstar asked.
"I do." Wrenpaw replied.
"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Wrenpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Wrenfeather. StarClan honors your kindness and strength, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan."
Wrenpaw licked Hoverstar's shoulder.
Everyone repeated his new warrior name.
"Wrenfeather! Wrenfeather!"

Hoverstar then turned to Smokepaw.
"I, Hoverstar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn...Smokepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" Hoverstar asked.
Smokepaw could tell there was some tension in the air.
"I do." She replied.
"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Smokepaw, from this moment on you will be known as Smokestorm. StarClan honors your courage and perseverance, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan."
"Smokestorm! Smokestorm!" ThunderClan cheered.
