A call.

One single call that changed everything.

Betty sat in her therapy session, dazed out as she listened to her therapist speak about trauma.

Suddenly, she heard a ringing. She looked down at her phone to see the noise coming from there, along with it vibrating.

She turned it over. It read 'Archie Andrews.'

"I'm sorry, I have to take this. It must be important," She called out, sliding the green button as she raised it to her ear.

"Archie?" She asked, confused.

She hadn't spoken to the redhead since high school. Not since he left to the military. They had promised to keep in touch, but they didn't follow through.

"Betty, I'm.. I'm back in Riverdale, and I need you to come back." He told her.

"Riverdale? Archie, I have a life here. I have work-" She was interrupted.

"Just for a few days, trust me. Something's wrong," He told her.

"Okay, I'll be there tomorrow. I just have to find a house sitter," She told him.

"Alright. I'll see you soon, right?" He asked.

"Yeah, Arch, I'll see you soon.." She said, hanging up.

"So, back to our session.." Her therapist began.

"You were in captivity for two weeks, Elizabeth. You have to have trauma that you are ignoring."

"I know how to face 'trauma," Betty laughed, shaking her head.

"I don't need a therapist, I don't need any of this," She continued.

"Your boss thinks otherwise," The therapist told her.

"Yeah, well I don't expect Glen or anyone else at the FBI to understand," Betty told her.

It was later that day and Betty had reported to work.

Since her time in captivity at the hands of the TBK, she had been put in the basement of the office going through cold cases. In her own words, "they didn't think she could handle more than that."

Betty stood in her cable knit sweater and dress pants, packing her things.

Glen Scott, her boss and every now and then casual hookup, walked in the room.

"Hey, Cooper. Where you heading off too?" He asked her.
