The Dance

Continuing from last chapter

"The arcade? Damn gator, your just asking to be beat at everything today, huh? I asked with a cocky smirk. "Oh no no no dear, we aren't here to play games. There's a dance floor inside, I wanted to take you dancing." He said with a genuine smile this time, 'aww that's so sweet', I blushed at his sweet words. "Really?! I didn't know there was a dance floor in the arcade! Come on let's go then!" I tugged on his hand to bring him inside, I loved dancing! Even though I was kinda awful at it but it's still fun!

We walked in and he introduced me to DJ Music Man, he was pretty cool for an animatronic who didn't talk. Monty went up to him and whispered something I couldn't hear, Music Man just nodded to him and Monty came running back to me. "You ready?" He asked with both hands out towards me to take. "Yeah but I gotta warn you, I'm bad at dancing" I chuckled a little feeling a bit embarrassed but he didn't seem to mind, "No worries, I'll teach you. It's easy when you get the hang of it." He explained so sweetly. He turned his head and nodded at Music Man to start the song he picked. Music Man gave us a big thumbs up as he started to play the song 'Dancing I the Dark' by Joji. 'This- he- he picked one of my favorite songs!' I internally screamed with joy. Monty turned back to face me. "Okay so first, put your hand on my arm..." he gently placed my left hand on his arm sense i cant reach his shoulder. "Now I'm going to put my hand on your waist and your going to hold my other hand." I nodded and we got into position. "Now all you gotta do is follow my lead, when I step back one foot at a time your going to step your feet forward to fill in my space...like this" He stepped backwards still holding you "Now you step forward to where my feet were." I stepped forward and looked back up at him for the next steps "Good, next step is to do that but in reverse, so now you step back and I'll step forward, one foot at a time." I did as he instructed he smiled down at me "See your already getting the hang of it! Now basically all you do is that but we slowly spin and we step a bit sideways to spin around, got that?" You looked down at your feet then back up at him. "I think so, seems easy enough" you smile and he smiles back, gently but securely grabbing your waist and pulling you close. You both are swaying in each other's arms singing along to the song.
