A Love Letter To Books

Getting lost in my writing and reading were the first to hold me without hurting me. I wish I can write you forever, over and over and over until my drunkenness on fiction has gotten sober.

But when you are completed, you're completed. When you are over, you're over. I don't think I'm your reader or your writer. I'm both because they both dread the same thing.

"The End" your end.

The end of a world they got completely lost in. You're like childhood once you're over, you can never truly go back. No matter how many times you watch your old movies or recall the memories from those days, it'll never be the same rush of emotions and feelings in a sudden attack...like the first time...the first time...

That's how you are.

The first time, the feeling of euphoria you leave when I write or read a chapter back to back like it's the last of my life line. And when it is...I'd still read you, no matter how many times you leave a scar when my conscious mind returns from the depths of your pages and I close your walls

I still choose you.

I'm senselessly in love with you
-Jay
