*6 Months Later*
Josh and I had been talking and meeting up for about 6 months now. And I was finally feeling like he should meet Lavender. I texted Josh and he was excited. We decided to meet at a local park. Around noon, I arrived at the park with Lavi and saw Josh pulling in as well. I took a deep breath and turned back to look at Lavender.
"Okay Bunny, listen. We're going to meet your daddy. Okay?", I said. I had told Lavender about this before and she was excited.
"Lavi Daddy!", she yelled, her face breaking out in a smile. I smiled back at her and got out of the car and went to unbuckle her from her car seat. As I picked her up and got her out of the car, Josh came over to us.
"Hello Saylor. This must be Lavender", he said, looking to the young girl in my arms.
"Yes, this is Lavender. Lavender, this is your daddy", I said. Lavender smiled and reached toward Josh. Josh looked at me and I nodded handing Lavender to him. Lavender smiled up at Josh and he smiled back at her.
"Lavi Daddy!", Lavender exclaimed. Josh smiled at her and looked over at me.
"She's been saying that for 3 days. She's been so excited to meet you"
"Well, I've been excited to meet her too", Josh replied, smiling at Lavi again. We walked over to the playground and let Lavender lead us where she wanted to go. She went straight to the swings, as I knew she would. She asked Josh to push her and he agreed.
The whole day Lavi had a big smile on her face and Josh had an identical one. The three of us bonded for the whole day and it was one of the best days I've had in a long time.
