"Who made these greens? Shit nasty as fuck." I scrunched up my face folding the plate in half earning a chuckle from my brother.
"Zella's mama that." My cousin Nicole said in front of me, smacking her lips on the beans she was munching on.
"Fuck no she didn't, my mama can cook, unlike Koji's, you know it's her cooking when the shit salty, she might as well stick to salt and pepper." Zella say's chuckling hardly, dapping hands with Saint.
I returned a mug. "Zella, doesn't your mother stuff greens and mac in her chicken? I know you not talking, either way both our mama's can't cook, right Saint."
"Mama can cook, quit playing with ha." He chuckles throwing his dreads back, leaving some eye sight for him. "Grandma made the greens."
"She old for no reason, there's no purpose for her nomore." I joked around, getting comfortable on the marquee chair.
"Her arms don't even jiggle, what did you expect cous?" Nicole says earning a chuckle from zella and Saint. "You think your ma gon' let us go hit a smoke together boo? Like outside of this kickback."
"Uh, I don't know to be honest. She'll over react with the shit, acting like someone is going to kidnap me again." I stood up from my seat returning a confused stance, staring at the backyard gate in front of me.
It's been three month's and my life has actually been going good lately, despite my mother and little brother being highly protected over me.
I understand why they do really, but it's been months now, and it's actually getting tiring, it's not like I was going to get snatched again.
"It's okay cousin." Nicole smiles, pulling me in a warm embrace. "We can just walk to yours and smoke up there. Saint, watchu' smoke?"
"He don't smoke Nicole." I rolled my eyes at Nicole, hearing Saint suck on his teeth in return.
"Girl, yes he does. When you was gone he was up there smoking wit' Shyne and that nigga shameek." Zella says adding herself in the conversation. "But, y'all heard about that girl that went missing two weeks ago and brunette from a month ago?"
"Yeah." Nicole replies. "It's so weird, everyone missing back to back .. shits just too crazy and weird, this the reason why I want to hit up some smoke, all that collision around us is stressing me out."
