'Ok- But like why on earth did this person send me the list of ingredients of chocolate cake? I never asked for it. And also, do I know this person?' I asked myself
The message said:
• Some chocolate
• Ole wheat flour
• Some eggs
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 3/4 cup of milk
• 1/4 cup sugarHmm, weird. 'Diana! Come have your dinner!' I heard my mom shout from downstairs. Silencing all notifications from this user "Sour_Our_Sauce", I headed down.
Sitting down on the table, I was filled with questions about my day. Me and my parents used to be pretty close, but I shut them out since my sister died. I sort of shut everything out since then. 'So, how was your day, honey?' My mom asked. 'Good. I just got this really weird text message from someone. It was the ingredients of some kind of chocolate cake.' I said. 'Don't try it out, though.' My dad said. 'Yeah, their user id is weird, too.' I said and got off of my seat. I placed my plate in the sink and headed to my room. Going up to my room, I read the text again. Something about it seemed off to me. 'Well, maybe their just trying to piss me off.' I thought and closed my phone.
I was just about to sleep when my dad walked in. 'Going to bed?' He asked. I just nodded my head. He came over and sat on my bed. 'Sweetie, I know the past few years have been really tough for you. Me and your mom sincerely want you to get over it.' He said. There was a look of uncertainty on his face when he said the next thing. 'There's this guy who lives a bit far. I like him, and I think you will too. He's really sweet and charming. He's good looking, too. If you want, then I can arrange you to meet him.' He said. I didn't find anything wrong in making a new friend. 'Sure, you can ask him to come over to the Cafè tomorrow at 5.' I said. By the look on his face, I could tell he was happy. 'Alright sweetie. I'll go now. Good night' He kissed my head and then left. 'I do need more friends. My social life is in the drains' I chuckled and slept.
I tried to, at least.
I just couldn't sleep. Something about that text just kept me up. Weird, I know.
Tossing and turning in bed for 3 hours, still no sign of sleep, I decided to re-read the text again. Useless, I know.
All of a sudden, I just had to sleep. It was like my eyes couldn't stay open for a single more second. My entire body felt exhausted. The phone slipped from my hand and fell on the bed, as I slipped into my sleep.
