Chapter 27

JALISSA

I sat on the toilet lid, with the door locked, crying my eyes out. I don't know why I had the door locked. Eli had gone to school and he wouldn't be back until 4 ish. I didn't even feel up to going to school today. I was sad and confused. This whole situation was fucked up. But, through it all Eli kept me going...at least I had the one I love with me by my side. Eli had been being so good to me, and I was so beyond thankful for him.

I got up and dragged myself into the shower. Then dragged myself to his bed. My life was a mess, so was I. I rolled over and cried myself to sleep.

I was awaken by a heavy knock at the front door. My heart quickly sped up. Who could it be? Eli said nobody really knew where he lived. And with all the drama going on with the dude that shot me, I was scared. I tiptoed to the peep hole and saw a tall light skin man standing on Eli's porch. Another tall lightskin man walked up behind him. I stood behind the door thinking hard on what to do next. Apart of me wanted to open the door but I didn't know these men or what they were capable of.

"Jalissa sweetheart we know you're in there." One of them man spoke kindly.

My eyes almost popped out of my head. How did he even know my name? I tip toed to the back room and locked the door behind me. My nerves were so bad. My whole body started feeling hot. Everything started moving, and I looked around trying to grab something but everything was spinning.

I opened my eyes and the two guys from then door were standing over me. I almost jumped out of my skin.

"Jalissa relax. I'm Tone. I'm Elijah's dad. I'm not here to harm you. I was here to see if there was anything you needed, but now I see you what you need is to go to the hospital."

I looked at him with confusion plastered all over my face.

"You just passed out."

My immediate reaction was to cry, I have no idea why. I was more scared than anything. I fought my tears back.

"Let me just take you to go get checked out really quick and I'll bring you right back." He offered.

I reluctantly agreed. They both lifted me up slowly and led me to the car. I knew I was retarded for leaving with 2 unknown men but he said he was Eli's dad and he was exactly how he described him to be. And he had a key to Eli's house.

I texted Elijah, but I knew he was at school taking care of a lot of stuff.

When we got to the doctors, they told me I was fine and so was the baby. I was almost 2 months pregnant. I was hoping for a boy. As I was talking to the doctor there were 2 quick knocks on the door and then Eli appeared from behind it. My eyes lit up when I seen him. I had been missing him since he left for school.

"Hey you okay?" He asked rubbing my back.

I nodded.

"Oh I apologize." He told the doctor for interrupting our conversation.

"No, it's fine! We were pretty much finished. She's all good to go." She patted my shoulder and gave us a warming smile.

"Thank you." I smiled back.

"Alrighty well I shall see you guys next time! I got another patient in urgent care to get to. You two enjoy the rest of your day. And stay off your feet, get some rest."

I nodded my head and smiled.

"Come on baby." He said helping me off the cot.

I hugged him and kissed him. I was so happy to see him. He had no idea.
