Alex
------Seeing Jalissa smile the way she does whenever Eli is around makes me happy. She deserves a sweet guy like him after all the shit Erik put her through, plus he is F-I-N-E fine ! His fits are always on point, and he's laid back and chill to talk to, he kinda reminds me of Marcus. I gotta give my girl props for pulling this one.
When he called me to help him set up this big surprise I was a little iffy, since she doesn't really like surprises, but her reaction was worth all the trouble he went through. He offered to take us out to eat afterwards and we all agreed on Olive Garden. We sat down and Jalissa and Eli immediately started cup caking, I just zoned off.
These last few weeks in Cali have been fun, and I've decided that I want to finish out my senior year here with Jalissa. The only thing holding me back is Marcus. I can't stand being away from him for a long time, and on top of that all the groupies that throw themselves at him at school don't make it any better. Don't get me wrong I trust Marcus to the fullest, but temptation can be a bitch, and I won't hesitate to fly to Arizona and beat a hoe ass. I've waited too long to finally have Marcus as mine and I won't let anyone break us up. I still remember the first time we met.
It was the first day of school at Fort Thomas and me and Jalissa walked in, ready to be the baddest bitches at that school. I was wearing some blue ripped shorts, a white crop top and a burgundy blue and white flannel with some all white high top vans, while Jalissa was wearing a grey long knitted cardigan that stopped at her thighs with some black skinny jeans and some grey Retro Jordan 3s (Yes even then the girl was obsessed with Jordan's).
We got our schedules and the first bell rang, we only had Spanish and Math together and that was 5 & 6 period so we went our separate ways.
My locker was right by my first class so I decided to go there first. I put in the books I didn't need and was getting ready to close my locker when someone tapped me on my shoulder. I turned around to see this tall light skinned boy hovering over me.
"Excuse me," he started , I just stared at him adoringly, his perfect white teeth, curly hair and chestnut brown eyes, this boy was so cute ! " umm you're standing in front of my locker" he stated.
"O-oh uh my bad" I stuttered as I moved out if his way.
"Nah you good, my name is Marcus by the way" he introduced "Hi I'm Alex" I said shaking his hand, " hey um by any chance do you know a girl named Jalissa ?" I asked , because I remembered her talking about a guy she met in middle school named Marcus that I've never met.
"Yea, short mixed girl with pretty hair?" He described.
"Yea that's her, she's my best friend"
"That's cool" he replied
"Yea, so today is your first day huh" I said trying to keep conversation
"Well duh isn't it everybody's?" He stated sarcastically. My face began to get warm, I felt kinda stupid. "Nah I'm just messing with you" he said laughing, "but who do you got for home room?"
"Mr.Goodman in J-16"
"Oh fashoo me too, I'll walk you"
From that day forward I was convinced that he would someday be my boyfriend, I just didn't think it would take this damn long.
I was taken out of my day dream to Jalissa snapping her fingers in my face. I look up to see her, Eli and our server staring at me. I realized that I was sitting there staring off into space with a goofy smile on my face.
"So may I take your drink order" the waitress repeated to me.
"Oh yea, umm I'll just have a sprite" I said slightly embarrassed.
I need to see my baby soon, I'm missing him too much.
A FEW DAYS LATER..
Jalissa
---------Today was the day that I had to go back to school. I was nervous for some reason. Every time I went out a part of me was nervous honestly. Ever since the shooting I wasn't the same. But I knew what I had to do if I wanted to graduate high school.
I stared at myself in the mirror before I left. Making sure I looked good. My outfit was cute today. I was wearing some denim high waisted pants, with a white mid sleeve tight shirt, and my white high top chucks. My pants were folded up a little bit above my chucks. I was plain but cute. I wore my hair straight and parted down the middle. When I was satisfied with my look I left to school.
"Do you want me to drive you baby?" My mom asked me as I walked down stairs.
"No mommy, I'm fine. Thanks though!"
"Oh okay..are you hungry?"
"I'm gonna stop at Mc Donald's and get something." I said kissing her on the cheek. "I'll see you later mommy, love you!" I said as I headed to the door. Alex was still sleeping, she's so lucky that she had home schooling!
-
When I pulled into the parking lot my heart started beating fast. I tried to calm myself down the best I could. I texted Eli to see where he was.
Me: wya?
Him: omw to school.
Me: I'm here.
Him: I'll be there in like two minutes.
When he pulled in he parked next to my car. I grabbed my bag from the passenger seat.
"Hey." He said walking up to me smiling his beautiful smile at me. I smiled back even harder.
As I walked towards him, I noticed how cute he looked today. He had on some grey Nike sweats that were tighter fit around his ankles. And he had on a white Nike shirt that said "MY GAME SICK, TOO BAD IT AIN'T CONTAGIOUS."
"What's up?" I asked as I went in to hug him. He hugged me back and pulled my chin up for a kiss.
He grabbed my hand and we started walking into the school. I guess Eli wanted to make us public. I was kind of shocked. He said what's up to a couple of his homies and they just stared at us. A lot of people were starring at us actually.
"Everybody is starring." I said looking up at him.
He stayed looking straight and nodded his head, "let them." Was all he said. I looked down not sure how to respond to that.
"You okay?" He asked me.
I looked at him confused. "Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?"
He shrugged. "I'm just making sure. You lookin a little worried." He stopped at a short wall and sat on top of it and pulled me in between his legs.
"I'm not." I said looking down. Something about him made me so nervous sometimes.
"Look at me." He said as he lifted my chin up so that we would be face to face. "I know it's your first day back at school since that incident, but you okay ma. Believe me, I'm not about to let NOTHING happen to you." He said in serious tone.
I nodded my head as we stared in each other's eyes. I was surprised at how he read me like that.
"People are gonna stare Jalissa. You were in a shooting at party that everybody in this school was at. Just do you. Fuck them." He said waving his hand.
I nodded again. He kissed me on my forehead and hugged me. Usually he was the one that was quiet and I mostly talked. It was weird it being the other way around but I liked it.
The bell rang and he hopped off the wall. "Where your class?" He asked me.
"D building." I told him. And we headed over that way. We got back into our regular conversations. We were laughing how we usually do and making jokes. Eli was my comfort at Crenshaw.
"Alright, I'll probably see you at Nutrition ma." He said. I wrapped my arms around him and looked up at him. He looked back down at me. I got on my tippy toes and be bent down a little bit and kissed me.
"Bye." I said as I walked in class trying to hide my Chuck E Cheese smile.
