SHINOBU.
You were Kanae's best friend, but you had never met her younger sister. When you finally became a Pillar, you were introduced to the rest of Hashiras and you felt your heart skip a beat, when the Insect Pillar smiled sweetly at you.
«No wonder Kanae liked you. You seem nice. I'm Shinobu Kocho, nice to meet you» she said, holding her hand out for you to shake.
You blushed and happily greeted her. Deep down you hoped to be able to meet her again.
INOSUKE.
«Fight me!» someone shouted and you barely had the time to dodge to the left to avoid his attack. You gawked in shock when you realised a fellow swordsman was challenging you.
«I'm not going to fight you, shithead! Stop attacking me!» you spat, crossing your arms against your chest.
You were about to leave, when you suddenly found yourself pinned down by the same guy wearing a boar mask.
«I'm Hashibira Inosuke and I wanna fight you!» he yelled at your face.
You groaned in frustration and knocked him out, watching his mask drop next to him. When your eyes landed on his face, you gaped and wondered how could someone so pretty be such a rowdy brat.
GIYUU.
You had just become a Pillar and you had been summoned for going on your first official mission as a Hashira. You did not know that the Water Pillar had been asked to accompany you. You were about to leave the headquarters, when someone called out your name.
You halted and turned around, just to meet the ocean blue eyes of famous Tomioka Giyuu.
You had heard people addressing him as a loner, but you had never met him in person. You were dazzled by his stolid attitude. He intrigued you.
«I am Tomioka Giyuu, the Water Hashira. I have been asked to come with you» he calmy announced, walking past you. You had a feeling he had not even bothered to look at you in the face. He seemed already focused on the mission. Did he consider you a burden?
«Great. Let's go» you shrugged, taking a sip from your flask. You truly wished you had not filled it up with water, but wine instead.
KYOJURO.
You had finally reached the village you were supposed to patrol and, to your dismay, you had forgotten to grab your haori. It was a chilly night and the autumn breeze made goosebumps raise on your exposed legs.
You sighed and rubbed your hands together, hoping that the friction could at least heat you up a little bit.
«You will most likely catch a cold! Where is your haori, young Kinoto?» a booming voice startled you. Oh, you knew the owner of that peculiar voice. It was the Flame Pillar: Rengoku Kyojuro.
